It's normal, you'll be fine, I always inject in the quad, sometimes it swells sometimes no, in any case it takes care of it self.
But seriously, don't buy a heating pad, that's being a little p****, be proud of your needle-taking abilities. Limping is no big deal, in fact I pretend to limp sometimes even when there's nothing, it makes you look badass.
Sometimes you don't notice it's sore till the next day. Could've damaged blood vessels or hit a nerve. It's hard to tell over the Internet ya know, but give it a couple of days if it still hurts see a doctor. But there were times I pinned delts and had a hard time working them out shortly after
Totally normal. My quads hate to be poked. It just pisses them off, apparently.
I still have them in my rotation, but I always get at least a little soreness.
Everyone is different and you will discover what parts of your body handle it better than others.
I'm not a ***** but I have enjoyed the comfort of the heating pad. No need to be uncomfortable. Nothing honorable about that. What ever it takes to get in the gym and be fully capable. IMOOriginally Posted by acidking
I always pin in my glutes... It is never soar more then 6-12 hours and in Avery small area... I don't inject huge amounts yet, but it works for me... Make sure to go slow, and don't pull out to quick... I use 23G 1 inch needle... I am no vet, but is have never given me any problems... Good Luck!
Just DO it!!! No pain, no gain. Be a winner not a whiner! Lol
A little needle, a little blood, a little pain, it's all good.
These posts crack me up.![]()
Oh dude, out of the 5 times that I've pinned, one of those times the same exact thing happened to me. No worries, massage the area, it will go away in a day or two.
the cork feels kinda cool to me haha
Inject slowly and once you inject, give it about 7 seconds before you pull the needle out. Remember to keep everything as sterile as possible. You don't want to get a staph infection.
Just rotate out on your glutes and delts. They are both no big deal, my first pin it hurt to sit but. It's just virgin tissue my dude. Quads are a tough spot to hit correctly although easily accessible and prob more comfortable for the procedure. I just pin my glutes and pin opposite sides. When you start running a lot of compounds you are going to need several site to inject but for now I'd stay there.Originally Posted by Perseverance1

Same here, I feel awful pain in some locations in the quad, I don't inject there and try another location. Try to hit the quad straight from the side, feel the exact area you plan to pin with your finger to look for stiff muscle, if you hit there you won't feel pain, if you feel a puffy area then avoid it, it will cause extreme pain and bleed.
I learnt that because I always pin in the quad, 3 cycles so far all in the quads. Make sure you're relaxed, sit with your leg up on something like a chair, try to lean to the side so that the side of the quad where you're going to pin is pointing up. Also make sure the disinfectant has dried as that will also cause pain.

Did you draw from a vial? You can change the needle and push it back into the vial, should be fine. I once injected half the dose, and didn't feel like it that day, so I kept the syringe in the cabinet to the next day and just change the needle and continued.
If you have half an "amp" left I'd toss it. That 0.5ml isn't going to be worth it. Personally I wouldn't reuse any amp.
