Help with AI tired more then usual

    Hey guys,

I am running 300mgs of Test-E I am on week 8 and up til about week 6 I was not running an AI. I had it on hand, but with such a low dose of Test I didnt want to shut down my E2 levels. Around week 6 I started getting an itchy feeling around my nipples so I started my AI at .25 EOD and gave it about a week. Itchy feeling went away, but now I am tired and sex drive has dropped. Not gone, but def. a noticeable drop. I dropped my AI down to .10 EOD and my sex drive is up a bit from where it was last week but still tired and not sleeping well (the not sleeping well has always been an issue, but I am more tired then usual) I am trying to figure out if I should drop the AI and see if the itchy feeling stays away as I felt much better with out in the first place. Also if this is not better by monday I plan to get some BW from the local lab. I read somewhere but do not recall what blood panel I need to get. What are your guys thoughts?

    Thanks

i wouldnt drop it. You apparently need some amount. And it takes time for hormones to adjust. Because you change the dose this week doesnt mean you will feel better this week.
If people can't tell your on steroids then your doing them wrong

Thanks for the quick response Gixxer! I meant to ask that as well. What time frame should I allow to see changes with AI?

    Thanks again

You should never keep an AI 'on hand'. Always take an AI from day 1 to the end. It's the combination of elevated Androgens + Estrogen. You need an AI not only for reasons of Gyno from day one but for maintaining homeostasis - to a point. I posted something compiled below for you:

    Cardiovascular Dangers of Excess Estrogen
Conventional medical dogma states that estrogen is cardio-protective while androgens are pro-atherogenic. This fallacy is based on the mere fact that men have higher levels of heart disease than women.
Excess estrogen in males has many harmful effects, and is definitely not cardio-protective. The following are just a few of the many research studies demonstrating the harmful cardiovascular effects of excess estrogen in males:

    1) Increases Risk of Stroke.
After adjustment for age, hypertension, diabetes, adiposity, cholesterol, atrial fibrillation, and other characteristics were made in a group of 2,197 men aged 71 to 93 years of age, men with the highest blood levels of estradiol had a 2.2-fold greater risk of stroke, compared with those whose estradiol levels were lower. www .ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17310026

    2) Increases carotid artery thickness.
In a study of 313 men whose average age was 58, carotid artery intima-media thickness was measured at baseline and then three years later. After adjusting for other confounding risk factors, higher levels of estradiol were associated with thickening of the carotid artery wall. Researchers concluded, “Circulating estradiol is a predictor of progression of carotid artery intima-media thickness in middle-aged men.” jcem.endojournals.org/content/91/11/4433.full

    3) Negatively affects lipids and other risk factors for CAD.
In an angiographic trial of coronary atherosclerosis in a group of men with stable coronary artery disease, significant positive correlations between estradiol levels and other known atherosclerotic risk factors was observed. Researchers concluded, “Our results indicate a possible role of estradiol in promoting the development of atherogenic lipid milieu in men with coronary artery disease.” ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15860391

    4) Promotes coronary atherosclerosis.
In another angiographic trial of coronary atherosclerosis in men aged 40-60 years, compared with healthy age-matched controls, men with coronary atherosclerosis had higher levels of estrone and a low level of testosterone in the presence of a high level of estradiol. Researchers concluded, “Low levels of total testosterone, testosterone/estradiol ratio and free androgen index and higher levels of estrone in men with coronary artery disease appear together with many features of metabolic syndrome and may be involved in the pathogenesis of coronary atherosclerosis.”
    ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15669538

    5) Associated with heart attacks.
In a study of men having suffered an acute myocardial infarction (heart attack), a prior heart attack, and patients with normal coronary arteries, the results showed significantly higher levels of estradiol in both groups of heart attack patients compared with those without coronary disease. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17435665

    6) Increases Blood Pressure
Excessively high levels of estrogen cause production of superoxide, a potent free radical which damages cell structures and increases blood pressure.
    ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21411770

I understand the importance of keeping my levels in check, but with such a low dose I was concerned it would shut me down which I found to be correct so I am just trying to find the right dosage. I will continue with .10 EOD and see how that works if I still feel tired monday I will get BW done.

    Thanks

I would try e3d @ .10mg. Give it a wk or so and monitor. Bring your bloods up/down slooowly.

    MickeyKnox,

I am running Liquidex 1mg/ml are you saying run 12.5 every 3rd day? I am having issues with .25mg EOD That seems like a Huge jump.

    Thanks

Disregard please. I misunderstood and thought for some reason you were refreshing to Aromasin (Exemastane) My apologies!

    I meant .10mg e3d

Once again, my apologies and thank you for questioning that.

Perfect! That is kind of what my thoughts were I will try that for a week or so. I am feeling better today. My sex drive seams to be coming back quicker then my tiredness, but progress is good. With not sleeping well plays some factor into that.

    Thanks again for the advice!
