Importance of AI during cycle
I was wandering if it was that important to reduce aromatization, and thus estrogen, in a cycle through the use of AIs. Would a begginer absolutely need to use AIs during their first cycle? Or could a SERM like tamoxifen be better suited just to prevent gynecomastia symptoms, although it doesn't stop the estrogen production? Best regards.

Doesnt matter if you're a beginner or expert. Estrogen will be elevated either way. You have to keep it under control. Not using an AI is a terrible idea.

Tamox and clomid are for PCT. It is very important to have an AI on hand just in case sides come up!! At 20 make sure you do a lot of research for the next few years before considering the use of aas.

I used to be a "AI on hand in case of sides" guy and it resulted in my blood pressure spiking so high that I had to stop a cycle once. I felt fine, but "feeling" is not a good gauge of health. How many people feel fine five minutes before a heart attack.
Now that I run an AI I was still surprised to find out my E2 was at 300 not too long ago. So, not only is it important to run an AI, but it is important to get blood work done (E2 test is $45 here) to make sure it is used correctly.

It just doesn't make sense to manipulate your testosterone and not control your estrogen.

Not to mention that the majority of people just simply won't get the BW done. At a minimum it would be great to have pre-BW done so you at least know what levels you should return to......hopefully.

I'm a recent convert to the AI bandwagon myself. In fact I've only been taking one for the last week. It takes a while to get the blood levels right, but then bloat goes down as well as BP and I also feel less sluggish on big doses of Test. I used to have ed problems on the AI as well as joint pain, but I think that's from doing too much. I'm lucky enough to suffer from no external estrogen sides such as ed, acne, gyno, etc so a standard dose of stane at 12.5 eod makes me feel better, drops all the bloat and water retention as well as lowers my BP to the point where I don't need medication anymore. It's definitely the healthy choice even if your not prone to gyno, acne etc.
