For now, focus on rehab and diet to keep any lean body mass from atrophying. Assuming its a lower body injury, you should be able to continue with upper body training to maintain much of your lean mass.

Again.....nutrition for now and provided you are ambulatory, you can still train naturally and retain strength and lean mass.

Your rehab could take months. Everyone responds differently. At 20 years of age, allow your body to heal and direct your attention to the best nutrition you can. It will help with recovery and sustaining much of your current body mass.

Depending on how long you have trained already, you could do considerable soft/connective tissue damage by using steroids prematurely. Not to mention you'll be shutting down your natural testosterone and affecting hormones necessary for your recovery and normal function (sleep, mood, appetite, immunity, growth, etc.)

Sleep is essential. You need rest and sleep to recover.

Why is that do you think? There has to be something affecting your sleep. It could be any one of many factors: psychological, environmental, nutritional, hormonal, etc.

I'd be working on your sleep problem before even looking into steroids . It could make the condition worse.

Have you seen a health care provider about the sleep impairment? Have you had any blood work done?

Are you being treated for sleep apnea (CPAP)?
