As long as the location doesn't become hardened or appear as a bruising or if you start to develop a fever and or nausea, you should be ok.
You can treat the area heat or even a muscle ointment such as tiger balm, icy hot, or other topical analgesic remedies for the pain and to help relax the muscle a bit. Don't use ice. That may delay the absorption of gear and promote the formation of an abscess which is something you do not want.
200-400mg of ibuprofen will help with pain and inflammation as well if you need.
