injection spot

I am injecting into my thigh currently, and i have seen a few pictures on different websites on where to inject into your thigh. One website showed that you do it directly on the side as if you were doing it between you hamstring and quad... and this one shows to inject it more on top of your thigh... i have been flexing my leg and injecting it into the center of the quad muscle that is on the outer part of my leg. As weird as this sounds. Can someone flex their leg and tell me if this is a good spot. I am doing it about 1/4 of the way down my thigh.... thanks for any input.
