Testing potency of gear

Is there anyway to test your gear to check potency?

Should add...without expensive lab stuff.

Should add x2...My only test, and its my favorite, is to inject. Everything is fine, but still would like to check from batch to batch sometimes.

I don't know any other way than having it checked by a lab, and you guessed it right, it won't be cheap.
