Theory on determining genetic potential with arm size

So I read I theory on determining arm size it was very in depth..I know this mite not be the best place for this thread but I didn't know where else too put it., it was genetics only and didn't figure in the use of steroids that we all know has the potential too take us farther than our genetics will allow,, anyways one of the ways of determining was measure the size of your wrist size and multiply by 2.3 so if you have 7" wrist multiply by 2.3 and you have a potential of 16.1 " arms..it also went on too say measure the distance of the bottom of your bicep too the end of the tenden when your arm is in a right angel and could sum how figure how well you could grow.. Has anyone ever heard of this?

And could people please post there rist size and there arm size when flexed/cold, I would like too see how true this is I thank it is interesting thought.

I thought I would try your experiment. I have always had small wrists. Measured my wrist and its 6", yet I have taken a week off of lifting completely and my arm is just short of 16".
If we followed the 2.3 rule then my arm size should be 13" which is not even close for me.

I didn't measure the bicep to tendon thing, didn't understand.

    Hope that helps

if anything, such interesting formulas usually give you the measurements of a ideal, proportional adult. not the genetic potential.

That sounds ridiculous....First off, for one to even get close to knowing the real potential of REAL arm size is in lean condition and loss of water....And that right there would already prove that theory wrong...

Take someone same height and one who is 170 and one who is a tub of lard at 220...Obviously, that person is going to have much larger "wrists" mostly due to fat and holding water....Neither of which would have an impact on the potential muscle size in that persons arm.....

This is well put. The theory and formula are extremely flawed.

These measuring theories are way off! Like the one where you make a sort of fist then measure to the end finger after extending them again and thats your penis size...BS! Mine is much smaller
