Hopefully being that I am pretty new to this site I don't get a lot of flak over this post. I just thought it important to tell anyone new to bodybuilding/fitness on this site that AAS's aren't for the lazy.
In that I mean that I see a lot of posts of young people on here asking about cycling to get maybe 15-20lbs in gains. The answers are always well wrote. Just thought it would be nice to start a thread stressing the importance of all the other aspects of bodybuilding that are more important then the gear. Too many people want to jump straight on the gear before even having the commitment to train or eat properly. Or having the knowledge to do so.
Everyone should spend a few hard years of serious training to explore their natural ability as well as building a solid foundation of muscle and experience. Before looking into some compound to take. No matter how good the gear if everything else sucks. So will your results! The first two years of gym time if done correctly will net huge gains! I'm talking 25-50lbs of mass depending on the individual and their body type. So why take something so soon?
Take in plenty of protein and maybe some quality creatine. Adequate sleep and hard work will go a long way. Wait until it takes a year of hard training to gain 5-10lbs. Then its time to look into a compound that will bring you above your natural ability. At this point you will know proper lifting techniques as well as how to eat.
Another thing a lot of new people don't think about is connective tissues. Too many guys want to bench 400lbs before thinking about if they even have the ligament and tendon strength to hold such a weight. This is how injuries happen. Please any Vets share your opinion on this subject. Hopefully we can help someone new to understand that AAS are a tool to help you achieve your goals. Like any tools they should be used correctly and not for a quick fix. Work ethic and patience is how the battle is won boys! Nothing good in life comes quick and easy
