Test Prop for cutting cycle?
So, I've been on my cutting diet for the past month now. I've noticed that I've lost a bit of strength and some size so far. I'm eating at almost maintenance and using cardio/training to create my caloric deficit. I do not want to risk losing any more lean mass, so I'm thinking of adding a small dose of Test Prop @100mg EOD for the remaining 10 weeks of my cutting phase.
I would like to get some input on the guys who have cycled, specifically with Test Prop, while cutting. When taking measurements the other day, I noticed I've lost about 1cm on my arms, 2cm on chest, 2cm on shoulders, and 2cm on legs. I realize that obviously I'm going to lose size (fat), but since I'm losing strength in the gym, I know I'm losing muscle also. I have two goals with running the prop during my cut. 1: To regain the size/strength I lost so far. 2: To maintain my muscle throughout the duration of my cutting phase.
So, my question is, for those who have cycled while in a calorie deficit, did you manage to put on any extra muscle? I'm not looking to put on a lot of mass while running this; I'll be in a slight calorie deficit anyway. I just want to put back on the size and strength I lost and maintain it while I continue to lose fat. If I can manage to put on a couple extra pounds of lean, then it's just an added bonus.
So, anyone who has cycled while cutting, were you able to put on some muscle even though you were in a calorie deficit? If so, roughly how much?
Age: 28
Weight: 189lbs.
BF: 15%
Have cycled a number of times when I was younger with Test E, Deca , Tren , and Winny (5 cycles total, but my last cycle was years ago)
Thanks everyone,
MS
P.S. If anyone would like to see my cutting diet, it is posted in the nutrition resource forum.

Cutting without AAS or certain peptides is a bitch. I know for a fact I will loose some muscle if I go through a cutting cycle without any additional help in this respect. I probably will never cut naturally again for various reasons...
As for your question: when I cycle while on a caloric deficit, I don't think that I have ever gained muscle; however, in about 8 weeks my BF% decreases drastically and between managing carbs and sodium I get ripped towards the end of the cycle without loosing any lean mass. I think this is the most important part of the story here; that is, being able to maintain the entire lean mass you already have and be able to get ripped at the same time. Creating a caloric deficit for acquiring this hard task is a must. Carb and sodium management is a must. Cardio is a must. For some, paying extra attention to the core area is a must, if going for the ripped look with visible abdominal muscles.
I have talked to people in the past who claimed that they were able to gain LBM while on a caloric deficit. Now, I don't want to call it BS because I know that some of these guys went through burst cycles where their total AAS and peptide use within this very short time frame is the equivalent of what I have used in the past 2 years in few cycles. I do believe, however, one can gain LBM while on a caloric deficit under the circumstances where right genetics meet impeccable nutrition and of course, AAS & peptides.

I haven't cut with prop but I am currently finishing up a prop cycle. I have been focusing on bulking with it but decided to lean out some towards the end. Ive put on 15 lbs since I started. Since I decided to start leaning out some, I have been able to maintain weight and drop a little bf.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Turkish-I understand what you're saying. What would be the most effective way of just getting back the muscle that I lost? Let's forget about adding any EXTRA muscle that I didn't already have before; I just want to get back my strength/size that I lost in the past month. Should I run the Prop and use the first 3-4 weeks to get back the muscle (like a clean bulk), or do you think that I can still continue my cut the way it is and by adding the Prop, I could just get back what I had about a month ago (muscle memory might play a role in this??)
So, clean bulk for a few weeks, then cut. Or continue cut with expectation of getting freshly lost muscle/strength back? (Assuming either of these options will be done with the aid of Test Prop).
Thanks!
