Can I be sure that I will recover from Test E, 500mg for 12 weeks?

I am almost 25. I am looking into starting my first cycle. I am a little worried about my natural testosterone production. Will I be ok as long as I limit my cycles to 12 weeks? With a strong PCT. I will also take as long off as I am on cycle+PCT.
Or is TRT a possible risk if I start?

there is always a risk. but more than likely you will recover fine with a standard pct.

Nope. Always a risk of permanent shut down. Granted, your proposed cycle is one that most would recover from provided they enlist an adequate PCT, but everyone is different.

Do you think that longer breaks between cycles will help me to ensure that I keep my natural testosterone?

Nothing is guaranteed except death and taxes. Be smart kiddo. Do some research before you end up in the Cycles Gone Wrong thread.

There are always risks but with the use of hcg on cycle and a good pct your chance of recovery is much better.

You can't be 100% sure, no matter your age or your experience it's always a risk.

But at 25 if you do it right you have very high chance to recover.

OP, if you take all the necessary precautions, you should be OK. But there is always risks even if you did everything right.

And by the way, having to go on TRT isn't necessarily the worst outcome you could have.
