    Testing UG dbol...

    I ran across an older post regarding a method of testing a UG pill to see whether or not it is dbol ...it involved mixing the capsule in 75% or higher alcohol and seeing if it dissolved or not...I actually purchased the pills as tbol, but the water retention and puffy nips I'm feeling make me HIGHLY suspicious that what I indeed have is dbol...I attempted to PM the author of that thread but haven't heard a response...he had offered to take a look at pictures of the solution...I was hoping that there may be other "former" homebrewers that might be able to discern whether or not what I have is dbol...when I mixed it, there was still some white powder at the bottom, but I'm not sure if that is some other "filler" or what, I'm the furthest thing from a chemist...if anyone can offer any help here, greatly appreciated...

    Most orals will dissolve in alcohol 75%+.
    Hell, as far as I have read dbol will dissolve in 80 proof.

    My suggestion would be to run that alcohol/"tbol" mixture through a coffee filter. The white powder at the bottom should be filler, and will get stuck in the filter.
    Throw the remaining liquid in a boiling flask and heat until you have powder. Then, do a melt test on the powder and compare it to the melting points for various compounds.
    Many of them are listed in the lab section of the forum.

    IMO not worth the work and i'd just assume it was dbol.
    If you've got puffy nips and bloat on 'tbol', i'd recon you have dbol.

    Dbol should have a really bitter taste no need to dissolve on alcohol

    The idea was that dbol is either the only oral that will or will not dissolve in the alcohol...he PM'd me back and is going over the process in greater detail...i'll post method and results for any interested...
