math problem with HCG!!

so i have 5000 iu of HCG. comes in powder form with 1ml dilutent. seems it would be difficult to dose out 250iu 2x/wk with 1ml of liquid. if i add 9ml of bac water, that should b a total of 10ml@ 500iu/ml!! i could then take 1/2ml ea injection to equal 250ml. right or wrong?

I.U.'s aren't a volume measurement. Think of it like this, if you put 1 ml of water in 5000 i.u.'s of HCG OR if you put 1 liter of water in 5000 i.u.'s of HCG you'll only ever have 5000 i.u.'s of HCG.
Put 1 ml (a full insulin syringe) in your HCG bottle. One twentieth of the syringe, or .05 ml (NOT .5 ml) is 250 i.u's. Half way to the 10. To make it easier to measure I put 2 ml of water in 5000 i.u.'s and that way 250 i.u.'s is a 10th of the insulin syringe (or up to the 10). Hope this helps.

*Add 2ml Bac Water to 5000iu of lyophilized hCG and that will give you 250iu of reconstituted hCG at .10 on the slin pin.
