What is T3, and is it right for me...for you?

Is Cytomel (Liothyronine Sodium), the prescription-strength synthetic thyroid hormone that’s more popularly known as Thyroid Hormone 3, or T3 a good choice you? What makes T3 superior to Synthroid (Levothyroxine Sodium), the prescription-strength synthetic form of tetraiodothyronine, also known as Thyroid Hormone 4, and T4? Do you know anyone (usually women) who is often cold, has cold extremities, chronic constipation (you don't have to admit this one...LOL), routine bad hair days, swelling under the eyes or shiners (discoloration that they believe to be genetic), memory problems, irritability (too hard to call), etc.?
