    Exclamation Advise from experienced ectomorph needed

    21 Years old
    170lb
    6ft fall
    3+years training
    Start weight 122lb 17 Y/O
    First bulked weight 158 18y/o (4-6 months hardcore)
    Second and Current weight stuck at 165-173
    I'm stuck...Im the biggest male in my family and I'm the youngest and strongest. I'm here wondering what I should do. I've never taken any steroids before in my life. I have asthma, allergies, and mild acne. For being skinny I have a retarded appetite, I'm always eating. I also try to keep it clean. A ot of brown rice and chicken, oat meal all the clean bulking. I enjoy eating clean. Being ecto I take a cheat meal extra here and there.



    Heres my question I'm planing on trying another bulk before anything and stay cut up. Train hard, eat till Im full then eat more, and sleep often. I'm going to really kick it in over drive. Seeing how that goes, and with that information I may decide to jump on steroids to bulk up. If I get good results, around 10 lb I will continue clean. If I cant break though this been here for about 8 months. I suggest you understanding how much effort an ectomorph put in to bulk up. Hardest working people, reason its we are called "HARDGAINERS". I'm not going to be ****ing around. I'd like advise. IF any what should I take? How much? ANTIACNE? PCT? Im new to all of this. ID REALLY PREFER answers from people who have been in to the steroid world for awhile. If I can find someone who is like me ECTO who as been on steriods and have been down my path that would be great. Id be more then willing to pay someone for advise if they are shown me they know what they are talking about. ECTOmorph advise from an ECTOMORPH ONLY PLZ

    I was 6'2" and 135pds graduating high school. So I feel ya. Only thing I can say is if u really want to bulk then dirty it up. Your fairly slim and u can cut later. I know people won't agree with this but I'm telling u from experience. Now don't just eat cheeseburgers all day but do cheat more often. Yes you'll gain some
    Body fat but we are bulking here. Eat, eat, eat and lift heavy. It's hard to consume all those calories but u can do it. As far as a cycle goes just research test only first cycles.

    Get your thyroid checked. If you have hyperthyroidism, this needs to be addressed before you can even worry about bodybuilding.
    --Eat more. Add more fats into your diet if you have to, just to get more calories.
    Try b12 injections, these ramp appetite up ridiculously high for most that take them.

    If you do any steady state cardio at all, stop.
    HIIT on occasion will keep your vO2 max up, and won't kill your gains like long runs will.

    Steroids aren't gonna help, so i really wouldnt bother with them. Especially at your age.
    Get your thyroid checked, and if that comes back normal, look into cortisol.

    Can you help me understand what getting my thyroid checked will help with I'm simply unaware. Also cortisol if you can. Thanks for the advise both of you. I do strength sets in all my lifts no more then 6 reps. Run sprints once a week, that day I usually take a cheat meal or two. Anymore ecto advise would be great.

    That would involve sending your blood to the lab.

    I was an ECTOMORPH until I turned about 30. I was 5' 8" 140 lbs until I was in my mid 20 where I finally got up to 160 by around 30?

    Knowing what I know now if I had a decent diet and ate real food I would not have had the problem. Yeah I ate real food but also 50% empty calories. I trained 6x a week also.

    Unless you have medical diagnosis from a Dr. that says you are a ECTOMORPH I call BS. Sorry that's just my experience and I see it 100s of times with others.

    Just have to eat. I eat 3700 as maintenance and im only 215. Drinking a lot of milk helped me, I was 5'11 150lbs. whole milk with every meal.. added some fat, but easy to get that off later

    Yea I'm sure my results from 120 some to 170 are because of my diet. Milk and protein shakes have to be limited in my case. It aggravates my acne, it also doesn't settle we'll with me. With that said I try to eat most of my protein. I think if I'm well organized this bulk I can make a hit. If not ill most likey look into something to help.

    Protein shakes and milk are not a good way to get protein. Try boneless skinless chicken breast, good cuts of meat, lamb, pork, all meats as well as dark green vegetables. Salad/lettuces is worthless, no nutritional value. You have to eat mixed greens.

    44 Y.O. ecto here. TOTALLY sympathetic to having to work 3 times as hard and diet way more rigorously than most others - for a small fraction of the results they get.

    First IGNORE anything anyone here has said about "Dirty Bulking." You will end up just as skinny, but with a nice beer belly and flab everywhere - More so than guys with a lot more muscle base. It will also be much harder for you to get rid of it, because your body is so good at efficiency - meaning it LOVES to reduce metabolic rate to hold on to fat.
    You are what you eat, period. Go to the nutrition forum and post your diet. Be patient, but basically you are going to need to eat lots of high quality food, and keep your diet as lean and clean as you can. Ecto's ARE lucky in the fact that we can add muscle (slowly) and still stay lean - IF you eat right.

    Second. DO NOT do any form of AAS yet. You are too young, and judging by what you've posted about your diet and routine, you haven't learned how to eat and train yet. You have plenty of room to gain naturally first. I didn't do my first cycle until I was over 40 and had been training for 10 years. AAS aren't magic, they will help, but only when you have EVERYTHING else dialed.

    Third. Contrary to popular belief, you need to eat MORE, not less to lean up and spare/gain muscle. Your body is the KING of reducing metabolism. You also MUST do cardio to keep a check on excess calories. Simply eating less works for many, but not ectos. You have to stoke your furnace to white hot, and run that engine hard all the time. Sucks, don't it?? LOL

    Learn about HIT style training. Look for Marcus' thread on it, and watch his Dorian Yates videos. You must go BEYOND failure with your workouts. Because again, your body is stubborn to add muscle and be anything other than the scrawny marathon runner that your DNA made you. If you don't force your body to go beyond what it's capable of, it won't grow.
    You will shorten duration, number of exercises and sets, but you will put all of that into intensity. I wish I had known about it 20 years ago, I'd be much bigger than I am.

    First of all, the first thing I’d try to find out, is if you are Ectomorph tending to mesomorph, or ecto tending to endomorph (skinnyfat)
    Here are many people that have good genetics, and tell you eat more, that simple.
    That’s not that easy.
    If you are lucky, you are ecto tending to meso, so its right, you eat more, you eat clean, you bulk clean, and you get awesome results. You’ll never be considered a BB, but, you can have the typical beach body, vascular and hard, with some good definition
    If you are like me, ecto tending to endo, the story is very different. You eat clean and little, you get very lean with a good definition but no muscle mass at all, you get the typical 15 yo skinny boy.
    Whats happens if you bulk even clean? You get bigger muscles, and you get fat. And probably, all the fat will be centred around the waist, making a woman/pear-looking body.
    If you go back on cutting diet, you’ll loose muscle at the same ratio of fat, and you’ll be back at point 0.
    The most here will tell you it BS what I’m saying, because the reality is that there are not so many real hardgainers out there, and even less, skinnyfat.
    So they say, the fault is the diet and bla bla bla.
    Then you see a mesomorph eating pizza and junk food all day, and gets ripped by doing a little cardio, and you have to hear, that its because his good diet and right workout.
    My theory is, its all about genetics in BB.
    I love my genetics, but I know, that without AAS, I’m nothing, and even with AAS, I’ll never get really big.
    I’ll never bulk again, I’ll try to keep it clean, and only during cycle, go up with cal, but trying to maintain BF.
    This is only my opinion, maybe its all BS what I just said, so nobody is forced to read what I’m writing, but maybe it helps.

" You will not get fat if you burn the excess calories. Cardio is essential. You must eat lean, clean, and a lot to grow. Simple as that.

    Honestly dude, If you feel like you are truly an ecto, make sure you are comsuming as many calories as you physically can. Mildly force feed yourself, with at least 4 meals a day. edit-*Do what* you have to, in order to eat. Get a list of bulking foods and stick to it.

    You can do it! Don't get discouraged.

    The thought of doing steroids And the action of actually doing them are Very Far apart in my head. It was just an idea to think about an get more information. I'm a fan of working hard for what you want. I just wanted some ideas from experienced ectos. In order to understand more of what I have todo. Again great advise everyone. Thanks.

    Op, visit the nutrition forum on read the bulking stickies and maybe post up your daily food intake for analysis. Then, visit the Lounge and read "Marcus's Diary" from start to finish for some solid training advice.

    I'm a natural ectomorph as well. Very hard to gain but when you do it's usually quality muscle, so there's an upside to this. Learn to eat more and read the threads mentioned please. You'll get there.

    At the end of the day, If done everything correctly, Ectomorph genetics its my favourite in terms of results.
    Thin bones with some extreme lean muscle mass, I love it.
    So, hard time to get in shape, but awesome results. I don’t even like mesomorphs, too big and heavy IMO.
