I can't get my liver enzymes down!!!!!!
Hey guys. Hoping someone here has some helpful info. I seem to have a problem getting my liver enzymes to come down after ending a cycle. This has been a problem with all my cycles but is getting progressively worse with each one.
My last cycle was test and tren .
Blood work showed the following:
At end of cycle: AST 78 and ALT 99
6 weeks after ending the cycle: AST 64 and ALT 99
8 weeks more (14 weeks): AST 60 and ALT 92
Reference range is AST 40 and ALT 44
I'm been taking the following supplements for my liver:
4g vit C x3/day
1600mg NAC x3/day
1g milk thistle x2/day
4 caps liv52 x3/day
Anyone have any experience with this issue?
Thanks

Trust me on this one. Get on some Synthergine immediately. Ive seen labs improve dramtically numerous time within 30 days.

UDCA is used clinically. It increases bile-flow in your liver, cleaning it out.
500mg maintenance dose on cycle, 1000mg/day to repair damage. Works wonders.
Get bulk powder on amazon and cap it yourself, or you'll pay a serious chunk of change for it. Worth it either way, especially with numbers like that

Are those doses split into 3? Or are you taking it 3 times at those doses? 4.8 grams of NAC?

There is nothing that UDCA can do that NAC cant do better. That said, both are great.

Your issue is different than mine unfortunately gymfu. My lipids were trashed. The thing that concerns me.here is that you said your enzymes are.getting progressively worse with each cycle and stay that way. Maybe you should lay off the sauce for an extended period and see if they don't come down after 6 mos or longer. If not, I would seriously consider not doing it anymore. maybe it's not worth it.
Do you drink or take a lot of acetaminophen (>4g /24hrs)? Anything else that might affect liver enzymes? Oral aas?

12g vit c might be excessive to. Linus Pauling advocated high doses of c but it was controversial. I think he has been affirmed since.his death. He won 2 nobels and.was a contemporary peer of Niels Bohr and lived to age 93 so I'm kind of inclined to believe the guy just on principle lol. The point is that he advocated 3.5g. 12 is extreme.

Besides the fact that Milk Thistle is useless, you may seriously want to consider laying off AAS for a while, since it is quite obvious that your liver is responding to it in an extremely negative manner, in spite of generous amounts of daily NAC and Liv52 intake, which are both proven to work wonders for the liver (especially NAC). Also keep in mind that Tren maybe largely responsible for this condition, as it often is.
On a last note, 12gr of daily Vitamin C intake is a ridiculously high and inarguably wasteful dosage.

Ok, what I mean by it's getting worse is that after a cycle the numbers are higher and aren't coming down as easily in my usual 4 month off period.
When I started this last test/tren cycle my enzymes were back normal.

Vit C is large doses is a very controversial matter. I don't think there is anyway its making it worse. I'd rather overkill and under.

Are you using NAC on cycle, or just after?

No, I rarely take a whole week off from the gym. How far do you think that could be throwing it off?
Kidney function (BUN only) is slightly over norm. I know creatinine levels rise with intense exercise causing muscle damage.
I was unaware that liver function could be effected.Last edited by gymfu; 05-28-2013 at 11:30 AM.

Muscle damage raises those levels to give false readings of an over worked liver

Do you have any liver diseases? Hep or cirrhosis? How often do you drink, and so you take and prescription meds?
