    Cutting, but looking flat..

Im 6 weeks into my cutting cycle, i look more defined, but muscles look more flat and not as big, circular and pumped as usual. Is this because of low carbs in the diet?

    Low carb diet!!

Carbs are storing water into muscles, thats why you look bigger when you have high carb day.

So if i have some simple carbs, an hour before i wanna look more pumped, does that give it enough time for the water to get back into the muscles, or will it take a full day?

A full day sometimes two....simple carbs during the day and complex carbs in the afternoon. About 3 to 4 grams per pound of bodyweight and some creatine hydrochloride will help. At least a gallon of water that day and you should be good to go.

    ^^yup
some people say it takes up to 2 days on a normal diet to fully replenish your muscle glycogen stores after a workout. but if you're on a low carb cutting diet, maybe even longer.

but i would advise you to not worry too much about your looks now. its just a temporary process. you'll look good when your cut is over and back on maintenance cal and carb.

Ok. Surely more water flushes out water retention, therefor the leas water i drink, the more water will get stored is that right?

yeah but it defeats the purpose of carb loading to look fuller. If you drink little water your body will retain it but just to survive and you don't want that...on the other hand when you carb up and you drink a lot of water then the glycogen will pull all that water to the muscles for that fuller look...Summary...DRINK A LOT OF WATER and forget the less water retain more idea.

Do you remember your last post about being at 20% carbs, and i told you about this happening? And you and a few others disagreed with me? and I told all you that you will soon enough see that staying that low all the time is no good even in a cut.
