Just discharged myself from hospital
After being in A&E for 8 hours then they put me on a wad and planned to keep me in fo a few days i decided to discharge myself. I posted up the other day about protein being found in my urine they done bloods in the hospital and found 4000 CK in my blood which said that it could lead to kidney failure...what could be causing it, all they said to me was to come off the aas and stop taking in loads of protein

All they said they were going to do is keep rechecking it and blamed the reading on what i am using and a high protein diet

Did they hook u up to IV? My cpk was very high at one point. Had kidney stones. Doc called me told me to go to ER right away and get two-three bags of IV in me.
Cpk I believe is what's rises also when u have a heart attack man. Bad choice of leaving IMO.

The only thing they put in the iv was a 1000ml of fluid then took me off it...they done 2 heart traces which were fine, the blood test for the heart was fine and my b.p was fine

They even x-rayed the heart to check if it was enlarged but was normal sized

CK is raised when there is muscle damage. CKMB is a more specific marker for heart muscle damage.
all the waste products from the muscle damage will put stress on your kidneys. with iv infusion/hydration, the stress on your kidneys can be reduced a little.

They didn't know themselves exactly why it was high like i said just blamed AAS and a high protein diet...befoe i left the doctor told me to go to my g.p in 2 days and have another test run to see what the results come in like

the level of CK tells you a little of the degree of the muscle damage. it doesn't tell you where or why you're having it.

CKMB is specific to heart muscle. CK is non-specific, which means all muscles, arms, legs, back...
your level is rather high. i don't think its safe to assume its from training.

So if they said the heart one was fine then that would be the CKMB the were refering to...so i can't understand why the CK is so high

from the rest of your muscles, excluding heart and intestines.

You went AMA? My man. haha... nah i'm just kidding as i did it once once too.
If you didn't have enough protein in your blood, the vein would just shut down when iv was injected. I know all about it.
Best to you.

Any muscle pain anywhere? Back, thigh?
Pee volume is good?
Nothing much you can do now except to keep well hydrated. Drink fluid constantly till your pee is clear. Hopefully its a one-off event and not an on-going process. Check your ck level again in a day or 2.

Lower back and neck pain from training related injuries, iv'e had the lower back problem since i was 16 I am getting some pain around the kidney area though which im not certain why. Volume seems to be good, just been for my second trip to the toilet since waking up a hour ago and its gone from really dark to light yellow.

But seriously, i think it was a rather scary thing you did. To discharge yourself against medical advice and come to an online forum for "treatment" instead. I dont know what sort of hospital you went to but i want to believe that you can get better care there than here. I hope you get lucky and this actually clears up quickly. But if i were you i wouldn't be so brave. Just my opinion. Get well soon

Like i stated all they were going to do is leave me laying there and check my bloods in the morning and continue to do that till they were normal...before i discharged myself i spoke to the doctor and he said he didn't really want to keep me in there and to just go back if things get worse. The only difference between being home and there is the blood work they could of done, they couldn't even pin point the cause of the high levels the health system in the u.k is crap

You might think they weren't doing much but they were. Doing blood work is hoe they find out what's going on inside you. Hell, they look inside you and tell you. I know it's frustrating but they are doc's and nurses and they know what they are doing or they wouldn't have their jobs. I went AMA once and regretted it cause i still hurting when i got home. I got over it, luckily, but never again. I'll stay in the damn hospital till doc says all blood work looks good and time to go home.

I feel where hes coming from. It is your health but when Dr.s don't know whats causing symptoms, they run test after test hoping to find an answer. They take there time, often don't communicate between shifts, and your left waiting in the meantime. I would of giving them some blood then been out. Hospitals suck...You know your body better than anyone. If anything feels off in next couple days, don't mess around.

Little update...been to the docs today they contacted the hospital and the hospital had lost all my notes and blood results thats's what i mean by they are useless over here. The doctor ran more bloods and said they will be back by wednesday and she would contact me straight away if they are abnormal. She done my b.p and that was good, i feel fine so hopefully the bloods are good

i think you're slowly recovering, so it probably won't be too dangerous to continue with the testE and adex.

keep a close eye on your pee (color and volume). check bloodwork frequently. don't hesitate to stop everything at the first sign of trouble.
-
