Red blood cells.

I am aware the ASS, has a tendency to illicit a higher red blood cell count, making the blood more viscous and harder to pump, I noticed that a quite a few on this site take regular aspirin, I imagine to keep the blood thin.
Some even have a few pints of blood taken out during a cycle to lower rbc, I understand that more red blood cells has negatives endurance wise.
I have purchased a blood pressure monitor, I assume rbc will show up as hbp.
What are the views on taking aspirin during your cycle, I thought that ASS had an impact on your body not being able to form clots in the result of say a serious cut, and that aspirin would make this even worse.
And if ASS makes blood more viscous why is there the opinion that cuts don't stop bleeding on cycle. ??????

Aspirin is fine. But will do nothing for high RBC/HCT. A blood pressure monitor is a great tool to have on hand and use. However, it is not a replacement for blood work. You won't know if you have high hematocrit with a monitor. I had decent blood pressure reading at over 50% hCT (a good place to donate)

I have no idea where you got the idea that a cut would not stop bleeding. We'd all be dead by now.

Austinite, Yeah sorry did not mean bleed for ever, I read that blood does not clot so well whilst on cycle, but maybe that is just orals (or a myth). I am awaiting bloods before I start, I was just a bit worried my blood would turn to cement hahah. i checked out your supplement guide and spent a months wages haha again, but I was surprised I had been dieting without loosing weight for 3 weeks, a week on your recommended amino regime and have lost 3lbs so thanks.

No, blood will still clot. I think what you might have heard is that you might bleed easier.

Dickster, i think you meant to say AAS.

It has an effect of increasing rbc production. But the increase in bp is probably by another mechanism, not from high rbc. So you need to monitor both problems independently.

Aas may actually increase clotting unnecessarily. There is a thread a few wks back where the member suffered a venous thrombosis.

Aspirin on the other hand decreases clotting and impairs your gastric protective linings. So if you have a history of gastric problems than aspirin may give you internal bleeding, not aas.

Like Aus said, use the bp monitor to keep an eye on bp. And check bloodworks pre, on, and post cycle to look out for the other possible sides.

Its not ASS that impacts on your bloods ability to clot, as for aspirin it is used for people who have a cardiovascular disease i.e angina,a heart attack or stroke take a low-dose aspirin each day. This reduces the risk of having a heart attack also these people are on medication such as warfarin this would be control by a doctor and if they have to get any trearment then they must make a hospital or dentist awear that they are on this type of medication because they are having there blood thinned due a heart condition incase thery have a heart attack while getting treatment through infection, if you had a serious cut i.e artie or a vein then you would compress the wound and get to a hospiltal

Scorpion 62, thanks, I noticed a lot on the forums take daily aspirin, but listening to all you guys, it seem the best way to monitor is regular blood work.
Austinite alluded to hematocrit levels of 50 %, Which I believe is higher than Tour de France winners, he had no change in bp. I will take advice on board, once cycle starts will have bloods, before mid term and end of 12 weeks. Dickster. I am prob over complicating things for a test only cycle, but would prefer to get it right.

Correct. But the others have no direct effect, and tend to increase clotting through increased viscosity and platelets.

I had a nose bleed about 2 weeks ago just sitting on my couch, now I know why

Minor scrapes and cuts bleed like crazy.
