    Advice more info provided

Pinned my 1st time on Thursday-
    350mg test-e/1ml oil
    22ga/1" needle
    Full insertion
    Aspirated
No pain at all during injection
Hygiene was followed to the letter

Friday no pain a little sore but nothing to worry about. Sat woke up sore as hell area was red and warm about a 2"x4" area.
Today area has grown to about a 4x6 red area warm and sore-
Is this normal for first time? Is it just virgin muscle?
Due to pin again tomorrow just want to make sure it's not something to worry about.

Could be a reaction to the oil but could also be a possible infection. Is any part of the injection area hard? Any fever? Where exactly did you inject? 22g is a little large and may be causing some trauma to the area. I generally stick to 25 or 27g needle bores.

Injected in thigh-no lumps or fever but the red area is warmer than normal

Does this mean I'm having a reaction to the oil I will adjust to or should I stop? Is this what some refer to as virgin muscle issues?

I'd stop using that shit and seriously consider medical help. That's not normal at all.

Difficult to say. May be a rxn or quite possibly the start of an infection. I've seen low grade infections without fever. Typically the area becomes sore and stiff with a cellulitis infection. Fever may develop in a few days. You could autoclave your gear and kill any potential bacteria.

    Can't see the picture.
Your quad is a big place. Where?? Did you follow instructions for the specific spots, or just choose a spot and go for it?
First time I injected quads, I was stupid, didn't follow spotinjections.com, and did my "teardrop". Leg was hot and swollen for 6 days! Now, I use upper/outer, with zero issues.

I agree with Ink. It doesn't sound infected based on your description but it's so hard to tell bc there's so much overlap in symptoms. If it gets worse go to a doc. If it doesn't start to get better in 24 to 48 hours, see a doc.

I thought I followed the directions on that site...a little nervous so maybe I missed. Someone else tells me they are running the same gear with no problems. I don't have gear with me should I post lab tomorrow?

Posting a pic of the gear or the name of the lab won't confirm anything. Even the most sterile of labs can run into contamination issues occasionally. There are so many potential steps in production of a compound where contamination exposure could occur.

You problem could come from contamination of the product, a rxn to the reagents or oil, trauma from the injection technique and more. If you can autoclave your gear, that will help reduce/eliminate contamination but it won't prevent any reaction to the oil (if that's what is happening) or correct for problems with your injection protocol (if that's the causal factor).

Personally, I'd wait a few days before injecting anything else and see if the condition improves. If it doesn't, seek medical attention as Anabolic Doc advised.

Ok I think I will wait and see if it gets better over the 24-48hrs, if I do seek medical help what should or shouldn't I tell them about the condition?

That's tricky. I'd say as little as possible. I know a number of people who try the "I did a B12 injection" but the smarter docs won't be easily fooled by this. Moreover, if blood work is done, it's pretty easy to figure out a steroid injection. Lol

I pinned the red area...spot injections showed that as a location as well. Did not use side as shown in the photo you attached. Could the location I pinned be causing the redness and pain? At the time of the injection there was no pain, I sanitized as detailed on spot injections.

Just make something up as most docs who can tell you're lying won't care bc they will know that it wasn't a recreational drug injection bc most junkies would not inject there.

Ok so pretty sure I pined the wrong area...could that be the cause of the redness and pain? I was careful with being sterile and I'm 95% sure the gear is good to go.

Like Ink said it could be a few things but pinning the "wrong" area is not one of them.

Yeh. I pin top outta. Red muscle towards purple area. Quads are usually painful if a. Virgin. B. Use that particular muscle regularly. But. It should not turn red or hot to touch. Those two indications alone are indicative of some sort of onset of infection and IMHO ur better off running a FULL course of antibiotics along with auto laving ALL gear and if possible running it all through a syringe filter.

What you don't want is a hole in ur leg. Tbh. Minor infections you can get over. But they will still leave ur immune system weaker each time. U keep pumping this in u n eventually it'll win n ur body will lose. At that point. U then have NO protection. Then ur really screwed. N it ain't about that.

Ok just left urgent care-lmao they looked at me like I was crazy with the B12 story. But then showed me the proper location for a intramuscular injection. And gave me a tdap vaccine and a antibiotic for the infection in my leg.

So do I pin the other leg tonight or should I recoup and then try again???

Why not try your ventro glute? So easy, so much less potential for pip.

Not against it-kind of afraid now that if second injection gets infected that it would be so close to back.

What options do I have if I don't have a autoclave? Should I try again with better practice and see if its gtg while on antibiotic? I don't think it's the gear. I think I just f-up the whole injection.
