Can you donate blood in the UK if you are using test, I imagine it is pretty useless to the nhs.

Not understanding what your question is. Donating blood is a good way to reduce rbc.
They don't ask you if you're on cycle. Just donate. However, if your blood is too thick you could get rejected. The only possible way to lower hematocrit is to donate.
Thanks Austinite, just making sure I don't put others at risk due to elevated test in the blood, and thanks for not being judgemental no question is a stupid question in my mind. Dickster.
Man was not sure if higher test in the blood would cause any prob to those eventually receiving, stupid question maybe, but at
East I know the answer now.

Yeh everything's mandatorily screened/tested. So no worries.
They only test for the major blood-borne diseases. But a bit of extra test won't be an issue for someone who needs blood to live.
Although self injecting disqualifies you from injecting as you could have an infection.
As said though, it's all screened before use.
Is there an option in the UK to just do blood letting? Have a pint taken and discarded?
Well. There's always DIY. personally I don't like to think of it. Rather go give blood. Easier. Beneficial n the thought someone getting blood suddenly gets a boner(yes yes. I know this won't happen). Still makes me chuckle
I went to donate blood to the Red Cross towards the middle of my cycle and they asked if I had used any steroids outside of a doctors prescription many times (both oral questionnaire and on the computer questionnaire). Granted this was in the US not UK.Quote:
