Floaties after using a 14ga... what can be done?

Ok I cut some super test in half. I used a 14ga needle to draw out 5ml at a time of cottonseed oil and put it in a new vial and then 5ml of super test and put it in the same vial. I've done this before but used an 18ga and had no problem. The 14ga took some of the rubber off the vials top and then I injected it into the vial so there is now rubber in 7 different vials. I wish I would have looked closer before I filled all the vials! Will a whatman filter work for this or is this batch ruined? Thanks for your time guys!

I would filter it and you'll be fine. The rubber stopper wasnt meant to be plunged repeatedly especially with a hoss like a 14g.

Thank you! Where can I go for whatmans without having to buy 100 at a time? And I am not sure which whatmans to get.. there are a bunch of different ones.

You can filter, but I wouldn't think the rubber could get thru a smaller needle.

Yeah, a lot of times the rubber floaters will stick to the side of the vial. If you use bigger vials ( I use 25ccs, it is a common problem) Im pretty sure I've injected more then I can count and have never had a problem.

Small shards of rubber can get through smaller needle. I'd filter the lot n use smaller needles next time. Not as if gunna take a massive chunk of time by using needles that large. U could get away with syringe filter if relatively small amount
As boss says if u notice em. U can swish the vial to avoid it but I'd rather not put chunks of butyl in me if I can help it

Can someone please steer me to some whatman filters that would work that I don't have to buy in bulk? Would the .45um be ok? I don't know where to buy them! Help please!

Filter it! The rubber will contaminate your juice.

    I agree,,filter it into a sterile vial. a 14g is like a roofing nail.
