Insane PIP from Test Prop and Elevated White Blood Cell Count

Okay, so a few questions regarding my first cycle. First, I'll start with stats since you all will surely ask.

    Age: 21
Starting Weight 6'5" 197lbs (coming off a Crohns flare up, previously 213), currently fluctuating between 205-202lbs
    Years Lifting: almost 4
    Bodyfat: ~10%

So this is my first cycle. Yes, I know you should wait until 24-25 but it's hard for me to gain weight with Crohns and I already have an extremely good base, although that may be hard for some of you to believe based off my stats.

So today was my 7th pin, which would make this day 13 of my cycle. I'm doing Test Prop 150mg EoD. I have Arimadex and a pill cutter on hand but have not used it yet. I also have hcg but have not used it and will probably blast it towards the end fo the cycle. Nolva/Clomid for PCT and obviously have not used it yet since the cycle is no where close to being over. I'm doing a 10 week cycle (70 days, 35 pins).

Using an 18g to draw and 23g 1.5" to pin. I'm about to order smaller pins because my PIP is unbearable.

    So far I've pinned:
    Right Glute
    Left Glute
Right Glute (in retrospect this was a bad idea but it wasn't sore at all from the first pin when I pinned it the second time)
    Right Quad
    Left Quad
    Left Glute
    Right Glute (today)

The first pin wasn't bad. I didn't even start getting PIP until 13hrs after pinning and it wasn't that bad. It obviously hurt but was tolerable. Two days later I pinned left glute and then proceeded to workout legs that same day. Ended up with pretty bad pip in the left glute but still slightly manageable.

Then I pinned right glute again because it didn't hurt at all and I got REALLY bad PIP. Felt slightly swollen and hurt like shit. Went back to normal about 4 days later or so. Then Hit right Quad, pip was pretty bad, still could not workout legs but it wasn't the end of the world.

The first left quad pin was unbelievably painful and I could barely walk. Then I pinned left glute again and it was unbelievably painful and I could barely walk, I actually had major trouble walking up and down the stairs with the left quad and left glute pins. Trouble sitting, getting in and out of my car, putting pants on, putting socks and shoes on. I'm basically walking around limping like Dr House. Can't really bend over or squat down. Trouble getting in and out of bed, etc. Really ****ing bad PIP.

It was already bad enough that I haven't been able to workout legs since the third day of my cycle, but now it's starting to not only affect my daily life but also my upper body lifting days. I'm having trouble picking up weights off the ground and racks, trouble sitting on benches, trouble kicking weights up for DB bench and shoulder press. Catching weights on my quads is not happening so I've been forced to basically throw weights on the ground after sets which makes me look like an asshole to the rest of the gym (I would never throw weights or drop them unless it was absolutely necessary, which it is).

The PIP I've been getting is unbelievable. I've done a lot of research before starting this cycle and I heard that Test Prop PIP is the worst among all the esters but this is just insane. It feels like I got mauled by a bear wherever I pin. I'm staying with my parents this summer between semesters and I'm honestly shocked they haven't said anything about my limping around, trouble sitting, and using my arms on the handrail to go up and down the stairs.

The pin sites seem to be swelling a little. There is NO discoloration, NO obvious bumps, I do not have a fever. For example, when I pinned my left quad it seemed like the entire quad swelled somewhat. Same with my glutes when I pin them. I pinned my right glute today (third time so far this cycle) and it's already starting to get sore.

Also I got a CBC done for my doctor this past tuesday (2 days ago) and I got a call from my doctor saying that my White Blood Cell count is really high and they don't know why. I was getting tested because I'm taking Sulfasalazine for Crohns (which has basically put me in remission) and they were checking to see if my White Blood Cell count was low and they were shocked to see that it was really high. They obviously don't know I'm on a testosterone cycle and would definitely be pissed if they found out I was on it.

So... is all of this normal or should I be worried? The PIP and slight swelling has been going away in 3-5 days after each injection but while it's there it's ****ing ridiculous. I literally have not been able to workout legs basically the entire cycle except for right after the second injection (day 3).

As far as the test: It's test prop 100mg/ml, pure grape seed oil, 2% benzyl alcohol, 18% benzyl benzoate.

Also starting last weekend I started feeling higher energy, confidence, better mood, etc, but this week I'm back to normal, and kind of seem to be having slight mood swings and a little depression here and there. Although that could be from the original Jack3d I've been taking preworkout. DMAA is sketchy shit and I'm going to stop taking it and see if that's what caused the mood swings/depression. I just started taking jack3d this week which lines up with feeling shitty again.

    Thanks in advance!

Oh and another thing. I went from 197 to 202 really quickly, and then got up to 205 2 days ago, and today I weighed 201. Weird.

You have an infection, which is why your WBC count is elevated.
Did they show you the blood work or tell you which type(s) of lymphocyte was elevated (a differential WBC count)?

Unless you have a pressure cooker and filters, toss the gear.

I vote toss the gear and stop cycling.

If I had an infection from the gear shouldn't there be heat, discoloration, and an obvious abscess. Or at least one of the three? Because I have none of the three. No fever, etc. Just painful pip.

If I even had an infection it could be from something else and unrelated. And I haven't seen the blood test, all I know is that my GI Dr said my white blood cell count was high.

I get sore quads n slight swelling. No disc. No swell. No pip as such. Hurts more downward from the area than up. On test e 250.@2ml inj

Bit I knew it would as haven't touched quads for looooong time. Know its clean as do myself. Also do delts and flutes. Delta again more virgin but not as sore. Flutes no pain at all. But flutes are my usual spot. So if its more I'm that context it "could". Be virgin reaction. Bit maybe worth pressure cooking. Autoclaving. And even refiltering before hand to be on the safe side.

^^^Correct. Sounds like cellulitis. Gram positive antibiotics (clindamycin, bactrim, cephalexin) required at this stage to eradicate.

Are you guys missing the part where I have no symptoms at all of cellulitus and feel completely normal aside from the PIP and apparent high white blood cell count.

No discoloration, no heat, no bulging abscess, no fever, no flu symptoms or anything, ...nothing.

Okay, "doc"......you have elevated WBCs. This is typically due to an infection but could also be due to leukocytosis, lymphocytosis, or even various forms of leukemia (AML, CML, CLL).

If you're so certain it's not cellulitis, do you know if your neutrophils or basophils were differentially affected?

Is there any way you can post up the results from your CBC? There are several types of white blood cells in which the CBC can differentiate between the different types; each type performs a specific function. You may have an elevated white cell count due to a localized or systemic reaction to the injections or something within the substance you are injecting into yourself. You may also have cellulitis or something potentially more severe as suggested but deeper below the skin's surface hence your current lack of typical or usual symptoms. You need to be honest with your doctor in regards to what you are taking. Unless you are active duty military, they are bound by HIPAA laws and cannot share your medical information with others. If they do, they can be fined immense sums of money and potentially even serve jail time. You can remind them if you'd like to, but be honest with the doctor. They may alter their treatment protocol accordingly even if they don't agree with your choice to cycle AAS.

My doctor didn't show me the tests, they just told me over the phone that my White blood cell count was really high and that they want me to get retested this coming tuesday.

I wasn't trying to be a smartass, I was just saying that if I had cellulitus or an infection from the test prop then why do I have no symptoms when the symptoms of cellulitus are usually extremely obvious?

A high white blood cell count could mean a lot of things and I don't have any symptoms as far as I'm aware.

I haven't seen the blood test, all I know is that they told me my white blood cell count is high. I understand that the cellulitus or whatever could be deep, but the PIP goes away completely within 5 days or so. Although due to the rotation of my pinning (glutes and quads) I've been constantly really sore somewhere. But for example, after I pinned my left quad I was only sore there. Now that I've pinned left glute and right glute since then, my quad is no longer sore and now I'm really sore in the glutes, but my glutes were not sore when my quad was sore, etc.

If the pain dissipates completely after a few days then how would I have cellulitus or an infection in a specific area?

It's not uncommon to have cellulitis and be afebrile. I had a severe case last year that affected my tensor fascia laterallis and rectus femoris. Took both clindamycin and bactrim to knock it down. Next time I'll go with 1g iv invanz x5 days.

What is PIP ? Is that the pain from injection?

I used to get it super bad in my glutes when the nurse injected me for TRT, I'm doing it myslef now, 0 pain.

I dunno if this is proper but...

I cut it with B12, so I'll draw up .5cc's of cypionate then .5 of B12, then shake with an air bubble in it, swap to injection needles and push the air out, insert into quad and inject slow, then I just sit a cotton ball on top of the spot, I usually only end up with a pin head blood spot, super tiny.

I never use any pressure and I make sure to keep my muscle super relaxed for a while, like sit and watch a two hour movie without doing anything, or do it right before bed or whenever I'm going to be sitting around.

I end up with 0 pain doing it this way. Before I'd inject then hit the gym cause the doc said moving around would help. The pain would come on so bad the next day I could barely walk so I quick doing it that way.

You may not have an infection in that specific area. It could be a localized allergic reaction which will typically elevate your eosinophils and basophils (also types of white blood cells), or it could be a systemic infection causing pain.

Staph infections can be extraordinarily dangerous and can give even minor symptoms like what you're describing at first before getting progressively worse. Until you see the blood test, you don't have a whole lot to go off of other than localized injection pain, which frankly, a lot of people seem to get, though maybe for a smaller amount of locations.

If your only complaint was injection site pain, it wouldn't be as concerning, but since your doctor mentioned a high white cell count with no explanation in regards to how high above normal it was and what cell counts were actually elevated, that could potentially prove to be extremely dangerous if you're not careful.

The smartest and best choice would be to toss the gear and stop the cycle as has already been mentioned. Better to eat the cost of a vial than end up in the hospital because you were ignorant of advice that was given to you by people on this forum far more experienced than myself. While your symptoms may not fit the stereotypical mould of "cellulitis", I have been in the medical field for several years now, and you'd be amazed at the immense range or lack of symptoms that even simple infections can produce.

So worst case scenario if I do need to go to the hospital or whatever, how/when will I know that it's time to go?
