The "r" just stands for "recombinant", meaning that it was synthesized through bacteria in a lab, as opposed to being extracted from a human cadaver. All HGH available for purchase is rHGH.

Yeah. They only used cadavers because the tech wasn't there years ago. Or. Wasn't easily available to process the bacteria successfully

I think Lyle Alzado died from using real hgh from dead bodies when he caught some type of disease. I may have the story wrong though.

No, he died of brain cancer (which he attributed to the steroids like a bitter *****).
A couple of guys contracted CJD, but they weren't celebrities.
