Age 42--First cycle results, pics and questions

Hey guys. I'll try to be brief. I'm 42, married 23 yrs and been lifting off and on since I was 20(155lbs). I've been in a constant strength/weight rut for about 5 yrs now. My routine is all barbell combination lifts....flat bench, squats, clean and press, deadlift, etc. Move the heaviest amount of weight possible 3-5 reps with strict form and utilizing "time in tension". A "five" count on the up and down really makes you check your ego at the door. Had my T checked and it was "in range"--says the doc....actually a little better than I thought it would be..600. I thought I'd like to try a small cycle to see what the results would be. Unbelievable! I have noticed no sides....except for clothes fit differently and chasing the wife around the house more (libido improvement)

My cycle was as follows:
200mg test cyp/wk .5cc sun and thursday Wk 1-10
225 HCG saturday and wednesday Wk 1-10
.25 Anastrozole monday and friday Wk 1-10
Also running 170 Sermorelin 3mg/GRHP-6 3mg every day.

I did start watching my cals much more strictly(went from approx. 3000 to 3750/day) and increased good protein and good carbs while trying to lower sugar and salts. At least a gal/water day also. So, I acknowledge that this diet improvement was also helping.

My starting wt was 174lbs and finishing wt was 187lbs. I am 5' 11". Waist stayed the same at 31"
I was at a combined 990 lift(260 bench, 430 dead and 290 squat) prior to starting. Continued same lifting schedule--Lifting hard 5-6 days/wk but only during lunch 30-40 mins. After 10 wks I am now at 1060 total(290 bench, 455 dead and 315 squat). It almost seemed like the majority of results occured between wks 6-10. Does that seem normal? I am way impressed with the results and I would like to thank all the peeps on the board here for helping out guys like me reading posts trying to learn.

Now the BIG question....Now what? Considering my age...Do I go off cycle, do PCT and start all over again 14 wks from now? Continue Serm/GHRP-6? Go to a much lower dose of T and just cruise for 14 wks? Any and all suggestions welcome.

200mg of test c a week is hardly a cycle.
Is there any reason you went that route?

What does your PCT protocol look like??

Typical 1st cycle is 500mg a week split into 2 shots of 250mg every 3.5 days.

Also you must have ment 300mcg of Ghrp6/serm A day??
Typical protocol for Ghrp6 is 100mcg 3x a day.
If you pinning 3mg of ghrp6 a day your pissing away money .

Aside from that normal waiting period until next cycle is... Time on cycle ( 12wks)+PCT (4-5wks)=17wks off cycle recovery until start of new cycle.

Agreed about the cyp dosage being low...but wanted to be on the safe side. If I did this I wanted no sides at all. If it wasn't enough T to see results I'd be okay with that. I'm freakn stoked with the results. Most of my buds are my age or older than me and on HRT(200mg every two wks) so I thought I'd double their amount and try that on for size.

Yes the peptide vial is Serm 3mg and GHRP-6 3 mg. I mix it with 3ML sterile water and inject 170mcg nightly. My bad.

Look at his chest pic at 5 weeks & at the end... Look to the bottom & outside of his nips. Unless he put on a substantial amount of fat on cycle, my guess is that's a minor case of gyno.

Even though it was a rather small does of test c it still suppressed your natural production.
I personally would run a standard course PCT of Nolva n Clomid .
Start your PCT 14days after your last pin of test c.
Continue HCG up until you start PCT then stop HCG and continue only with PCT n GHRP6.

Looks like lighting/shadow to me. I would have to see better pics. Being that his dose is relatively small and he was using arimidex, I doubt he developed gyno.

Hey man, everyone different. I have to take 25mg of Aromasin/ED to control my E. it's his first cycle, he may not have been dosing at what's right for him. But I hope it isn't, I'm just trying to let him know so he'll access it himself.

Agreed and not disputing. Just wanted to make sure I was not missing something since I see gyno thrown around a lot. I have to take .75mg arimidex twice a week (1.5mg total) on a TRT dose of 80mg per week. Without, my E2 was sitting at 75, and I'm not even on cycle :-/

Yikes, your E is feisty! Haha, but I'm gunna stop robbing the tread from OP, but on the results, great job bud, lets pin down the diet next time & be sure to get blood work to check your E. also your test after recovery. But solid results! Upper chest & delts definitely look much more full.

Nope...no gyno...just put some fat on here and there. I have been overly anal about watching out for that. Lighting is terrible in the pics. Will do the standard PCT and continue with GHRP6 as directed. Thx for the props now gotta work on keeping some of the gains.

Definitely more separation in your traps and your back in more defined. Keep us updated on how much of that 13 pounds you keep after PCT. Definitely a great case for the more is not always better. Congrats buddy!

You did a good job with your torso on that little cycle, but you could have made far more progress with your legs man. I'm sure that you can increase your squat by more than 25 lbs.

Good results for that cycle, congrats... I can't wait to see what happens on a full dose of the test!

Thanks and I agree...my small wheels have always been my most hated body part and I never really liked to work them hard when I was younger(and dumber).. Over the past 5 yrs or so I have gotten so I enjoy squat day and dead day much more than chest/back and they have started to respond. Squat day is Tuesday so I'm gonna look for a 320 or 325 depending on how I feel.

Not bad work Op. Good learning experience for you. DB gave you on target advice for pct. A few months after pct get BW done to include a full hormone panel and see where you're at. In the meantime, get under the squat bar and work on your nutrition. AAS is nothing but a waste of money without those two aspects being in place. Visit Marcus's Diary in the lounge and read it from start to finish for some good, modern training advice that will speed up your progress.

To be honest the dude doesnt even look like he lifts! 23 years and thats what you got, at 5'11 you should be at least 200lbs to be ready for a cycle! You are not ready for a cycle at all. Asking question like should i cruise or do pct is really dumb question! Do you want to have a medical condition for life because of few pounds of muscle for the temporarily vanity?

I dont see how false comments is going to help anyone!

Damn dude....take it easy. I never claimed to be the body builder you must be. I don't think my strength numbers are that bad for my weight and age. Big doesn't always equal strong. I have spent the last 20 yrs of my life clocked in at work an avg of 3000+ hrs/yr to get by so the gym time gets a bit limited occasionally as does proper nutrition. I'm still hitting the iron everyday I can and doing my best to put/keep the muscle on while keeping the fat off the midsection. I'm happy with my results and appreciate the comments given by everyone. Peace

I think u did a great job considering 200mg per week. I betcha with your motivation, diet and 400mg-500mg test per week pinned twice (m and f) you will grow like a freaking weed.

The only thing I see different is the way you are holding your shoulders back causing your delts to pop. Honestly wasted this "cycle".

I think you are in the right place now to make sure next time there is NO doubt.

If I understand your op your bloodwork had you at 600 test while taking the test cyp? Do you know what your test level was before cycling the test cyp? Although we all respond differently, I am on 165 mgs/test cyp/week and it puts me slightly over top of range. I wonder if your natural levels are higher than what you were cycling with? If so it does go to show you how powerful the human brain can be when it wishes to achieve something it believes in. Imagine how much better your results would be on a standard 400-500 mg/week cycle of of test!

I have an 18 yo who knows almost as much as this 22 yo! lol.

he doesn't have any signs of gyno, says he gained 13lbs I cant argue there. stayed lean that was most important thing. props to the discipline on waiting till you were 42 before juicing considerin u been lifting as long as you have. Today I was at 188. So about 14lbs now. Didn't do any measurements was relying on strength numbers for comparison. They are in my first post. All clothes still fit in the waist no change there thankfully. Most of my tees and dress shirts don't quite fit anymore in the shoulders and sleeves and for the first time my quads feel a little tight in my jeans.
I've learned quite a bit also thks to the guys on this board.
I'm going to work my ass off to keep as much of the gains as possible.

Brazensol--600 was my before numbers. I was just looking to elevate numbers a bit to see if I could make any gains going light on T. I have been in a bad rut at the gym and honestly thought I was getting too old to make any improvements. I feel emboldened by the past 10 wks and feel like a new man. I realize some gains may go away but I'm really gonna work at not letting that happen.

Any idea what your levels were after the test? Also, have you had your thyroid levels checked?

Last pin was last Thursday. Was gonna wait until after PCT then check bloodwork. Supposedly thyroid cks ok at beginning of cycle. Did get a legit 300 bench a half hour ago. Feeln a bit stoked right now
