12 Weeks vs, 16 Weeks or longer...

From what I read it appears 12-14 weeks seems to be the standard length for a cycle. Why is this? The reason I ask is if it takes 3-4 weeks before you start to see the results from a test. e/c cycle (due to the long esthers?) could you "preload" a few weeks before actually starting the cycle (ie change diet and workout intensity)? Is this 12-14 week routine based on fertility issues? If yes, then could the 12-14 week cycle rule be extended (say to 16 weeks? longer?) for those of us on trt who no longer have to do a pct? If there are other reasons for the 12-14 week cycle, what might they be?

Reason for 12-14 wk cycles is for people who are cycling on and off. The longer you run a cycle, the harder it is to recover. People who are on TRT can get away with longer blasts. Just don't make it too long for health reasons. I've seen some vets here do 16-22 week blasts.

You can go longer, but generally, for most, the differences are negligible. This is the reason why we "Cycle" steroids . They don't just keep working. You'll plateau pretty fast. Personally not a fan of frontloading and most folks don't even frontload enough anyway.

Give your body a break, always. This has nothing to do with being a TRT patient really. It's just like a diet... no diet works forever.

Recovery is another issue for non-TRT'rs. Good point, Dexter.
