How long does it take
I know we are all different. Each of has a unique body shape and challenges to achieve that physique we train so hard to get. But, generally how long do you think it takes time wise to get that hard, big body we all want? I've made some terrific progress transitioning from distance runner to buff muscle guy. I've been seriously traing since last November. I know, not very long. I've hit a plateau, my gains are small now, the changes more subtle. I face Father Time somewhat as I'm 52 now. If you have an opinion I'd like to hear it, thanks

What's a hard big body? That could be anything in someones mind.
But you said it, there's no telling and you'll never be able to utilize whatever answers you get. Ramy did it in 3 years and became pro. Others take decades.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

That is very difficult to answer. I have been weight training for over 20 years and it is still a work in progress!

I have been training 5-6 days a week for going on three years now. Good diet, etc. I am no where near where I want to be. The bigger you get the slower the gains come. I always see a skinny dude in the mirror, but everyone tells me how big I am. Genetics play a huge role as does diet. Steroids help but are just the icing on the cake. It's a guess, but in almost three years I have gone from around 200 lbs 30% body fat to about 225 15% body fat. Not as fast as some but that's what it has taken me. I am 6"1 33 y/o

There is no answer
I thought where I am now would never would be reachable. I gotten bigger than I thought possible, but now I still want to be bigger.
It's all in the eye of the beholder.
There's guy's who love being shredded & 175 while you see monsters at over 250 still trying to get bigger.

thanks boys. Exactly what I hoped for. Im guessing that we are all our harshest critics. This helps alot because I was getting slightly bummed with my lack of progress. Need to be reminded that Im just a beginner really and if I stick with it good things will happen, cheers! Currently 5'9. 195 with roughly 14% bf. I was 213 but have cut the fat for summer

You'll never be where you want to be. If you ever reach that point, you have lost the ambition. Do. There is no try.

I often wonder about top BB pros who have achieved a champions level build....where do they go from there? Anyways, never being satisfied is a good thing. Going to workout hard this week
