help after screwing up an injection

hey guys,

did my 5th pin today of a test e / anavar kickstart cycle so exactly 2 weeks in today.

I pin in glutes (upper outer quadrant of upper outer quadrant) and today i must've passed through a surface vein on the way into the muscle. Aspirated as usual and no blood so injected relatively slowly (could've been slower) and then waited 10sec to take needle out as usual.

As soon as i pulled the needle out a decent amount of blood followed it straight away mixed initially with a clearish liquid which im pretty sure was my test e..im guessing the pressure of the blood must've pushed some of it out too.

Im kind of worried that i've lost a decent amount of that injection, i dont know how much but at least some and i dont know if the rest has been pushed into the subq.

Should i pin another 0.5ml or so just to tide me over? bring my next pin a day or 2 forwards? or just leave it? I'm eager for the test to start kicking in. Also any tips to stop this happening in future? i cant really z-track the glutes but not sure what else i could do, it hasnt been a problem before.

No problem, it happens. Sometimes the oil follows the needle on the way out. The blood is from passing through a vein. The amount of oil that leaked is generally negligible considering the lack of frequency in which it occurs and the very little amounts. If you're concerned, consider the Z-Track injection method in the quad or somewhere you can utilize it.

Do not inject any additional volume.

Ok thanks, just frustrating to see it! Like watching your gains slowly drip down your leg lol.

I would prefer to pin quads tbh but people say the pip is considerably worse there, this wouldnt be a prob but im currently squatting 4x week so i cant really time my pins to avoid having to use my quads the next day.

Hmm, ok, i may give quads a try then, I generally havent felt anything from pinning glutes before so maybe i'll be fine in quads also.

Just keep a steady hand and inject slow and you won't have any post discomfort.
