    Cycle And PCT Question

    Hello everyone,

My name is Joe and I'm a complete noob when it comes to roids. I read through the sticky threads and I have a question I hope someone can answer. I apologize in advance for my ignorance and any silly questions I'm about to ask. Anyway, here it goes.

I've been lifting for about 3 years and I've gotten some good results. Body fat when from 27 to 11% and I've gained a good amount of mass. My diet has been pretty solid (But not perfect) and my strength has gone way up. (125 Bench max when I started....sitting around 300lbs now.) I'm 26 years old, 6 feet tall and 185lbs.

I'm finishing a cutting phase and although my physique is looking better than average, the lack of size and strength gains are a little discouraging. (I'm SLOWLY getting stronger, but it's nothing compared to a typical bulking phase.) In any event, I'm considering running a small cycle of Danabol when I start bulking again. Since I'm not a competitive body builder or anything, I've not overly concerned with gaining a huge amount of mass or being insanely lean. 6 feet 195lbs with 9-10% body fat would be a great result in my option.

I've read that a typical cycle of Danabol last between 4 and 6 weeks. Since this would be my first cycle, I would like to start with the lowest does possible. (Less side effects I would assume.) I have a theory that I'd like like some feedback on. Harsh criticism would be welcomed!

From what I understand, Steroids will restrict and eventually completely stop natural testosterone production. Put simply, it's like body has a rough idea of how much testosterone should be floating around tires to avoid a surplus by cutting production when you start adding more. (In a sense, it sounds similar to the brain of a drug addict who's been abusing cocaine or ecstasy. Since the drug is replacing and creating a surplus of neurotransmitters, the brain stops making them on it's own. When the drug is removed, the brain doesn't immediately replace the neurotransmitter and you get all these nasty withdrawals.)

A cycle of roids seems similar because you're introducing a surplus, reducing your bodies natural production and then removing the other source of input. (Recipe for "withdrawal" right?) Would it be advantageous to gradually reduce the dose before coming off a cycle. For example, instead of doing a 6 week, 20mg a day cycle of of Danabol, why not extend the cycle another 2 weeks, take the full dose for 3-4 weeks and then tamper off the dose? I could be TOTALLY wrong, but wouldn't this give the body a little more time to recover? (It seems like the body doesn't like rapid change)

Anyway, I could be COMPLETELY wrong about everything! I'm totally new to this and I'm willing to learn, read...whatever it takes.

Also, what suggestions do you guys have for a good PCT?

    Thanks again!

Dbol is not testosterone but it will shut down your natural production of test. Dbol should not be ran alone. Look into a test only cycle.

Thanks for the quick reply. Considering I only ran a test only cycle, would be theory about gradually reducing the dose be a good idea?

Is there also a link for a good first cycle test plan?
