    Question Injury Recorery

I always planned on waiting until I was 25 to run my first cycle. Something like straight test 500mg a week, pretty standard. That being said I recently fractured my foot in several places and have a lisfranc injury. The biggest part of my injury is that the tendons on the top of my foot were all messed up. I would like to use steroids to help aid my recovery. I am currently 21, 5'10, I have been lifting seriously for 5 years and before my injury I was 180lbs with about 13% body fat. I know I am a lightweight, but I am already much heavier than my dad and granddad have ever been (I have smaller wrists than any guy I have ever met haha). I have been working my upper body even though I have been on crutches for 2 months and have maintained most of my upper body size.

I am considering running an EQ cycle because of its ability to increase collagen.
The cycle I had in mind was:

    week 1-14 EQ 500mg EW
    week 1-15 Test-e 200mg EW

    pct, something like:

    Clomid
    Days 1-14 100mg ED
    Days 15-28 50mg ED

    Nolva
    Days 1-14 40mg ED
    Days 15-28 20mg ED

-starting a week after my last test pin

Test at a high level can lower collagen so I only want to run enough to compensate for my natural levels being shut down.

I was hoping to get some opinions from the experienced members on the board. Has anyone else used steroids to recover from an injury like mine? Should I wait until I get my leg strength back or use the cycle to help get my strength back? I am really concerned about the tendons not healing properly, my doctors talking about welding my foot joints together if I have chronic pain. I am under the impression the EQ will help strengthen and fully recover my tendons. Does anyone else have an opinion on this?

    - also, I don't have any gear on hand. I'm not on of those guys who ignores everyone's opinion because I have my mind set on something. I am really looking for feedback.

I used steroids to assist recovery from a fractured spine. I was 50 at the time, I had been lifting in competition for 26 years. I used steroids after my friend who was also my doctor said it would be a good idea.

Prior to that I have had several fractures and numerous injuries from motor cycles, horse riding, snow skiing etc. I never once even considered steroids as I always thought I was too young and I also knew I could become stronger naturally.

There are always consequences to actions, I had to move to a country where use and purchase was legal. I am fortunate in having a Thai wife. At the age of 58 in 2 months I am stronger than ever before, I am happy with my choice but to even consider it at 21 would be very foolish. As a power lifter my body was used to the weights I use, It had grown the tendons and sinews needed to allow me to go really heavy. Had this not been the case I would be a mess now.

I also trained and used with a compound fracture to both bones in my leg. As a result I live with constant pain as the stainless steel screws could not handle my squats and dead lifts. It was 2 years before I could have the steel plates removed and the broken screws are still there! There are 4 broken screws going through my bone that cannot be removed and the stainless steel plates were bent also. Its not easy to bend those plates. Ok! I am old and I have a high tolerance to pain but at 21 I could not have done all the wonderful things I did do had I used steroids.

I no longer expect to climb mountains, ride rodeo, play squash and golf or go skydiving but I am pleased to have the memories from my youth. I am also happy to have a beautiful younger wife [another one] and my daughter. I guess I am trying to say I think it would be a mistake for you to use now! Kindest regards John

OP is 21 & likely still full of Testosterone & HGH. You'll mend just fine without using ancillary compounds especially with age on your side. IMO just do what the Doc orders along with completing prescribed Physical Rehab...
