possible infection

need some advice on a possible infection in my deltoid from winny?
symptoms> upper delt red,swollen,warm, and swore. should i wait a few days before i rush to the hospital? thx> da

heat from the site and redness are common signs of an infection...if it doesn't subside within 2 days or so then seek professional help.

thx for the reply i guess using a 22 gauge and pumping 2 cc's added to the problem.

Dont wait 2 days man, if its red, sore and most importantly, warm to the touch, get it looked at now. waiting 48 can only hurt you if its an infection.

honestly i'd wait it out. take some some antihistemines and see what happens to the site after about 2 or 3 days.

Use warm compresses for 20-25 minutes every 2-4 hours. That's what we do in the hospital. If you are running a fever or seeing puss or discharge then you will need an antibiotic. Keflex 500mg 4 x day x 7 days is commonly used unless you are allergic. I don't advise taking antibiotics without seeing your doctor.

yea its feelin and looking much better the swelling has gone down
and its not as swore i think it had alot to do with the 2 cc's of winny
along with the 22 gauge shotgun i pumped into by delt anyways thx alot guys for the help
