How much distilled water to mix with 5000ui HCG? (need 20 shots)

Since this will be my first cycle and this is the only part of my gear that I have to mix myself im very careful about this before i start.

Im taking this together with my Test E every 3.5 days, 250ui.

But I got this powder so how much distilled water do I mix with this? for 20 shots.

If you're doing 250iu and start with 5000iu you'll get 20shots regardless of the amount of distilled water but I would suggest you get bacteriostatic water or make it yourself instead of the distilled water.

    Agree!

Get BW and add 2ml to your 5000iu.

    0.1ml = 250iu.

Sterile water has no bacteriostatic properties so it will remain sterile only a few days tops. Bacteriostatic water on the other hand has the ability to prevent the multiplying of bacteria without destroying them.

but keep in mind once its re-constructed, it doesn't last more than 1 month (i think) maybe someone else can correct me on this.

No. If properly reconstituted, HCG potency should remain stable for 60-75 days.

    ^^^Always!

.....and the potency period I referenced is based on reconstituting with bacteriostatic water. Sorry I wasn't specific on that.

Yup, I got that. Sorry, it did sound like I was replying to you. Lol. My bad.

We actually did a mini experiment a few years back in clinic. We reconned four bottles of HCG with bacstat. Left two at room temp (in our HEPA-filtered fume hood), and two in our refrigerated drug cabinet. At 60 days we sent one of each (room temp vs refrigerated) to a local lab for potency analysis. The room temp diminished by 27% over refrigerated bottle. At 90 days we repeated the procedure. The refrigerated bottle had a diminished potency of 32% (compared to the refrigerated bottle at 60 days and the lab's control) and the room temp bottle left at 90 days had a diminished potency of about 67%.

So as AD correctly suggested OP, refrigeration of reconstituted HCG will help maintain potency.

    wow, thats really interesting!
do you think you might get different results if you had used saline instead of bac water?

I would suspect so, but it would make for an interesting study and comparison. It would also be useful to have a lot more bottles in each experimental condition since we only used 4 - but then again, it was a clinic and something we did to confirm proper storage and how long to retain samples before destroying them and replacing them with new bottles. I'd also like to test other time periods than the two we used.

A general protocol now is to storage in fridge and discard no later than 75 days, usually no longer than 60.

Thanks Kel. Was interesting, just wish we ran more samples with additional time points. Would be interesting to see a potency x time curve for the the two conditions. Just intellectual curiosity.
