    Injection help.

So I am 2 weeks into my self pins for TRT, but I am needing some help on the injection site, and what should happen.

Last week in the Dr office, they told/taught me me to do thigh/quad injections. I am use to glute injections, but they said self injections are better in the quads as you can control it easier. She told me to sit down, put my legs at 90 degree and inject anywhere in the quad. I did it dead center right side, and it sucked. Of course, maybe cause it was my first shot, but who knows. It was sore for days.

This morning I did my left outer thigh, and it was so easy. I let my leg lounge, and it seemed so less tensed. However, it seems like it was to easy? I have 23X1 inch needles, and compared to the first shot it, it was so much easier. I did go quicker, and all the way in. I am worried I might not of been in muscle and maybe still fat?

I used the spot in the thigh series 2 on (SpotInjections.com) but I was a bit to the outter more of the leg than in the picture. Not much, just maybe 1/4 inch.

You can try your delts or glutes.

You might consider talking to your doctor about injecting subQ, much easier and less impactful on estradiol.

    What's your current protocol?

    150mgs 1x weekly(day 7)
    250 IU HCG 2x weekly(day 3 and 5)

Well the quad today wasn't bad, but now I am kind of concerned about if I did it right. If I did, then I can stick with it. I also did it immediately after I woke up, so I was aware enough to do all the things, but not all hyped up after sticking a 1 inch needle in my leg as I was last week.

I am not that big, I don't think anyway. 190 - 14%'ish bf - so I dont think I can have that much fat around my quads really. Next week I might just do the same middle of the quad spot, and see what happens. I think the pain last week had a lot to do with the leg not being stretched but at a 90 degree bend, if that makes sense?

Good protocol. SubQ is easier in the stomach, a couple inches from the naval or in your love handles. Either way, whatever method you choose, it will get easier and better with time.

Stretching the leg is not important. Pain probably came from an unsteady hand. Very common with first few injections as you get your technique down. The tip of the needle is a blade, movement beyond necessity will cut the fibers too much and they will react.

I don't really see the need to pin it anywhere else than your glutes. It's not easy the first time but after that it's smooth sailing and it's still considered the best place for most injectable steroids . If you do it once a week and just switch glutes youre homefree.
Regardless though, if you inject anywhere try and keep the needle as stable as possible. As stated above the needle works as a blade and the more you move it (shake perhaps), the more it cuts when it's inside of your tissue. This causes pip. My first injection (not so long ago) hurt for two weeks because i shook like a little old man. Learned from that mistake

Of course there is no 'need'. But if one is unable to maintain stability, it only makes sense.

I've also been using the area identified in thigh series 2 and it has been perfect for me. Can't even feel it. I've been alternating legs but might start introducing other areas as I get better and more comfortable with trt.

    Good luck!
