Same. 1" 25g usually for IM, and 3/8th 27 g for subQ oil, and 31g for subQ water.

I see. I'm a pretty small framed guy, think 1 1/2" is too long, especially for delts?

not tiny or anything, but I'm not some hefty guy. 5'7.5" 170 lbs,not entirely sure on bf percentage

1 1/2 inch for delts!?! Not unless you're morbidly obese - in which case you wouldn't be using steroids anyway!
