using the main injection sites, it shouldn't matter where it's injected right? it gets absorbed the same way in delts as it would from glutes?

The glutes are a larger muscle in terms of volume and oils are generally absorbed better when injected in your glutes but delts suffice as well however it will absorb as well as the glutes

As long as you inject into muscle you are good to go.
