    cialis as preworkout?

I have a ****ton of real Cialis, would it be useful to take as a preworkout once in a while? I read somewhere it is beneficial.

Hmmm, interesting. Cialis works by blocking an enzyme so the blood can fill the penis cavity. It seems that cialis scan enhance the release of nitric oxide (NO), the base of many pre-workout drinks. The article does say that the whole cycle doesn't work unless there is sexual stimulation. Though cialis may work as a pre workout drug, it seems to me that it's not the optimal use. IMO

Wikipedia: "Part of the physiological process of erection involves the release of nitric oxide (NO) in vasculature of the corpus cavernosum as a result of sexual stimulation. NO activates the enzyme guanylate cyclase which results in increased levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), leading to smooth muscle relaxation in blood vessels supplying the corpus cavernosum, resulting in increased blood flow and an erection.
PDE5 inhibitors inhibit the degradation of cGMP by phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), increasing bloodflow to the penis during sexual stimulation.
This mode of action means that PDE5 inhibitors are ineffective without sexual stimulation."

I read somewhere on here that austinite takes it in a split dose, some pre workout for the NO effect.

Personally, if I was going to take it anyways I don't see the harm in it but I wouldn't take it just for that. Cialis is different than viagra where it works in your system for a longer period of time so the time of day you take it has no effect on your erections. At least, not for me.

Tried looking for the thread where austinite talked about it. (nevermind, austinite beat me to the punch while I was looking)

I think the thread title is not search friendly for this topic, so it's hard to find. Here it is...

I've not done pre-workout substance for a long time. I've been doing a shake of Quinoa, Whey protein, BCAA, L-Glutamin, and L-Carnatine. I'm a boxing/kickboxing trainer and with pre-workout I can get about 1.5 hours out of my body. With the Quinoa shake I can get about 2.5 hours out of my body. Does Cialis provide a prolonged a sustained release of energy? This is very interesting.

Not sure where or what you read. It's not beneficial in a sense that it will make you stronger or increase energy. Cialis is a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor that increases blood flow and vasodilation via nitric oxide increases in cyclic GMP (cGMP). It's primary indication (as you likely know) is for erectile dysfunction but has a secondary application for BPH. Recently, benefits in managing hypertension have been reported for this compound although it is currently not approved as an anti hypertensive medication.

If you are simply looking for better "pumps" during your workouts, I'd recommend starting with some of the OTC products containing nitric oxide available through your local nutrition store.

Over time, muscle cell endurance is elevated so your stamina is higher. Not an "energy booster" really.

Stamina is my goal. I don't expect a pre-workout to make me stronger. I expect the pre-work out provide a slightly increased level of energy output throughout the workout. The reason I started making my own shake was that with the pre-workouts I've tried, my muscles just pooped out when punching the bag or grappling an hour or so into the workout. I know that I'm 50+ and know that my performance threshold isn't as high as a younger guy in my same condition. There just wasn't enough tri-phosphates in the muscles and I couldn't maintain the high level of energy I required. The difference I found with the "food" shake versus a pre-workout drink was... how do I explain it? You know when you're on the last rep and the weight just stops going up even if you're pushing for all you're worth? With a pre-workout I feel the muscles fatigue so I stop. With the food shake I can hold the weight in the same position and still push hard even if the weight doesn't move. My muscles doesn't fatigue as quickly. I am going to stack the cialis with the food shake and see if I can get more endurance out of my muscles. I appreciate the feedback.

I have noticed better pumps with VIAGRA. Years ago my lady friend was a little late so I decided to get
in a quick workout. The pumps were definitely enhanced.
