    Time after surgery to cycle?

So I'm finally going in to have surgery on my shoulder in January. How long after PT would you think would be ok to cycle? I have never run anything before, this will be my first. Not even sure what to do yet, still in research mode

You can't make mention of your last sentence here so please edit that out.

With that said..... Welcome to the board!

Once you get clearance by your doctor to lift again I'd get back in and focus on strength. Make sure you develop a solid base to make sure your shoulder can handle it. Steroids will drastically increase strength and getting too strong too fast can cause some major issues and even re-injur you.

Stick around - keep reading and keep learning. You're in the right place.
