    Filtering gear

I've run a few cycles before and never filtered any of my gear (I didn't even know the concept existed). Anyway, I'm planning to filter my next round simply for the peace of mind. I just want to make sure I have a good understanding of what to do. Here's my plan:

    1. Draw up all of my gear into a 60ml syringe with an 18g needle and then attach a .2 whatman filter.

    2. Inject the goods though the filter into a new, sealed 30ml vial (I have 50ml of gear that I'll split into two vials). And I'll be using another pin through the vial for venting.

    Is that pretty much it?

A couple of months ago someone here got a really bad infection and had to be hospitalized from dirty gear . I posed the very same question , you can never be too careful with anything other then true pharm grade . I'd be interested if he's got his process right .

Yeah man, that's all there is to it.
However, if you want to use a 60ml syringe, you'll need a caulking gun to apply pressure. Otherwise, use a 3ml and do it by hand.

Thanks for the advice. Do you mean 30ml instead of 3ml?

If I use two 30ml syringes, should I get two whatman filters?

No, I meant 3 ml. The larger the syringe, the more pressure required to operate it.
