No, the Rx has to be written by a doctor practicing in the US, and filled at a pharmacy in the US.

^^^They may not "nab" you but they would seize the compound(s) and likely notify you that the drug is illegal in the US without an Rx from a US-licensed MD.

just to set the record straight, HGH is NOT a steroid ! It is a peptide hormone, VERY different!!!

I've had three shipments of HGH held by customs. A letter was sent to me twice and they didn't even send me a letter on the third one. They just sent it back to where it came from. As far as I know, I don't know of any instance where customs went storming into someone's house because they got his address from a package of imported HGH. Most of the time they let it pass or don't catch the HGH. If it is held they may send it back or take it home and use it themselves (naw, just making an unjust accusation).
