Training for world championships and need some help
I'm training for the BJJ world championship in California at the end of May/ beginning of June I'm trying to bulk up then cut the excess fat and water weight.
I'm new to this and don't know anything about steroids so if anyone has any tips of maybe a cycle I can follow that would be great.
I'm 6 foot, 192 pounds
32 inch waist
17 inch arm
42 inch chest
27 inch quads

At age 20, steroids are not the answer. However, diet and training are.

Yes, normally I would cut 15 to 20 pounds by dieting and cutting water weight like a boxer or fighter would but that kills your cardio and I wouldn't have 24 hours to recover like them sense I have to weigh in right before I compete. So I'm ganna try to move up and usually there are less people in those weight classes.

Right now I'm not on any specific diet just yet, but I usually eat high amounts of protein and crabs, with alot of natural sugars like fruits but I'm training 2/3 times and day, the first and second being drilling and grappling and the third being a weight workout and since my matches are 7 minutes long I'm super setting alot to try to build my muscle endurance, about five to six weeks before I'm ganna start a fight camp to help me get in shape as well.

Less competitors does not mean less competitive. You may not like what you're up against if you're going against people that have a solid foundation at a higher weight versus you who just got there (gaining then cutting). Also, if it's a world championship for MMA, or in your case, BJJ, aren't you going to be drug tested?

BJJ is way different than bodybuilding. It is going to be difficult to gain size quickly with as much cardio and muscle endurance as you need to do. The nutrition forum is the place to start to help you bulk cleanly. Being fat = being slow = losing the match; so you need a plan that works with your training. Once you get your nutrition in order, you might want to consider AAS in the off season one day, but probably not leading up to a big match. Also, don't forget about drug testing. Gear sticks with you for a while - up to 18+ months in some cases. Good luck.

Op you need to take into consideration that running a aas cycle isnt always easy. Some people respond very poorly. I personally would not want to learn how to run a first time cycle while training for a bjj championship. If i was you i would wait til off season to see how you react then try running one next year. Good luck either way.
