I read Jose Canseco's first book yesterday, and something he said didn't seem right to me. He stated that before using gear he was 5'11" 190 and scrawny. After using his choice of gear (some combination of HGH, test, DBol , Deca and Winstrol from what I gather) he got to 6'4" 240. Based on the dates he gave, he was either 20 or 21 when he started using gear, so I don't think he had another 5 inches to grow at that point. After doing a search here and reading a bunch of threads on the topic, the general consensus is that gear isn't going to make you this much taller, even if your growth plates are still open. Assuming these numbers are all real, how did he suddenly grow 5 inches taller over a 1-2 year period (he isn't exactly clear on the timeline) after puberty? Is this a genetic outlier where it would have happened with or without gear? I'm confused.
