Am I ready for my first cycle?
Hey guys, I would like to have your opinion on whether or not I'm ready for my first cycle.
I'm 20 year old, I've been lifting for about 5 years. I weight 225 lb with about 25bf%. My best lifts are 495 deadlift / 455 squat / 375 bench press. I read that it can be dangerous to use steroids when you're overweight, which I am a bit. But I'm not sure how dangerous exactly. I've been reading about cycling for about a year and I've a lot of different things so...
Sorry if I'm asking noob questions by the way, I'm fairly new to this stuff.Last edited by jay94; 04-29-2014 at 03:44 PM.

Your body-fat is to high man. Try lower it naturally, and you don't need gear it'll mess up your body man.

Not only is your BF too high your too young also. Your growth plates dont completly fuse until about 25ish.
The problem with cycling at a higher BF% is that you will undoughtly have more neg sides from the gear. The more fat you have the more estrogen you convert, the more estrogen you have the more it needs to be maintained and ultimately the harder is it to keep at a safe level. You also will have issues with you Blood pressure at a higher BF %.
Try reading all the stickies here before even thinking of cycling.
Your best bet is to get your diet in check and learn as much as possible and then make a decision. gear without proper diet andworkout is worthless and a waste of time and money. It could also be dangerous...especially at 20 years old.
try starting here.

After reading all that stuff you linked me, I am embarassed to have even asked that question. The fact that I was asking it in the first place was proof that I'm not ready. Sorry for wasting everybody's time.

I know how to cut though, the issue is simply that I can't because I can't gain strength and muscular mass AND cut at the same time, at least not based on my knowledge of the human body. And I have to get stronger and bigger for my powerlifting comps. But thanks for the kind word man, much appreciated.

Welcome aboard. Those are some great lifts. Keep working on strength and getting that bodyfat down a bit. This is a great place to learn - not just about AAS, but diet and lifting techniques as well. Best wishes.
