Can you be a little more specific on what you mean by sour and what your training and cycle consists of?
The lactic acid cycle, or kreb's cycle, is only normally activated when your cells do not have enough oxygen present. This means it is highly unlikely to have a constant flow of lactic acid in your muscles all day so I doubt that is the cause because that would be rare.
What symptoms are you experiencing specifically? I am going to be honest, I have never heard of this. Unless your legs are just not getting enough rest, that is what it sounds like to me.
Just a comment about this post. Kreb cycle, FLM! I hated learning that over and over in college. I did have it nailed but I had to google it again to remember it and presto, I can draw it again. I am impressed with your Ranger for bringing this up.
With your leg pain - have you thought about getting a massage? I have found that when my legs start to hurt without working them a good massage and drinking a lot of H2O helps with this. I am not a fan of NSAIDS while training. They reduced inflammation, which is caused by working out, and can hurt your muscle growth. Tylenol would be a better choice. Just watch how much you are taking. Never go over 3000 mg per day. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks for the compliment, I hated it too, that and photosynthesis and pretty much anything with an electron transport chain I hated. My bread and butter is genetics but I am a jack of all biological trades I assume.
If I had to guess it is either an H2O problem or not getting them enough rest. When I do lots of cardio during the week I find I get this in my legs as hey stay constantly sore. This is not conducive for muscle growth either, I would add some potassium in there, it helps with muscle function also. It won't hurt anyway.
