Any way to raise hematocrit fast?
Is there a way to raise hematocrit from 38% to 40+ in a week short of a blood transfusion? I recently discovered I'm anemic (felt faint and had some bloodwork done) and I have a blood test coming for my job, and it's imperative I'm not anemic by then. Iron will take too long, what about equipoise ?
Thanks.

Procrit is the only drug that I know of that can do that.

38% is within normal range and shouldn't cause you to feel faint.
But Anadrol and some supplemental iron should increase it faster than anything (apart from epo, maybe).

whats the Hb? i thought you might be interested to find out why you're anemic and treating the underlying problem, instead of correcting it artificially.

Hb in g/dl is 12,6, range is 13,5 - 18,0
I'm having ferritin, iron, TIBC and some more stuff checked, but, as I said, I need to inflate my hematocrit fast for the bloodwork.
Maybe it's my lack of sleep or too low E2 that's making me feel under the weather, I took some blood yesterday to check for it, but since my hematocrit was so low I thought it might be the cause, Occam's razor if you will.

My iron is low, and pretty sure it is what made me feel faint. I'm on a big deficit like I was before but have been taking iron for a while now I don't feel faint anymore. Sure there could be other factors, but it will be interesting to see your other values. My iron was well below range, and absorption is a problem, has me taking iron protein plus three times a day. Make sure you are careful though, best to do this under advice from the doctor.
