High Blood Pressure when on cycle. Will an AI help?
I'm on Cyp TRT @200mg ew. I started a cycle, (I'm on week 2) first one in years. The cycle is dbol 40mg ed, Deca 300mg ew, Test 350mg ew. I have high blood pressure and do take meds for it. I also have bloodwork done and blood drawn every 6 to 8 weeks to lower my rbc that elevate from the TRT.
I know that Dbol will raise BP and I am not going to stay on it for more than 4 weeks. If my BP gets out of hand before that, I am going to stop it.
I am not prone to gyno although I was thinking that if I take an AI when on TRT or cycling that the AI may help lower my BP? Any thoughts on that? I did some research about that and get mixed thoughts. I would think the AI would lower my water retention which would lower my BP. I don't noticeably look like I retain water. I am fairly lean.

Ive never heard of AI lower your BP but I suppose it might if it lowers your water retention but I dont think by much.
I would just monitor it and use the meds as needed.

Don't rely on an AI to lower your blood pressure. Proper diet, more cardio, and a BP med will help the most.

you're still going to need an ai for the test and the dbol , dbol aromatizes pretty heavily.

You should definitely have an Ai regardless dude. Your blood pressure can also fluccuate as your body adjusts to the new hormone levels. Wait and see if it normalizes

Just recently got put on hbp meds never cycled in the meds so take what I have to say with a grain of salt but I know some people use Cialis to lower BP while on cycle. I'm actually going to talk to my dr about daily Cialis as part of my BP management.
Eat meticulous, train ridiculous for best results.

I did hear about Cialis doing that and my doc would give me a script if I asked. My BP meds do work when just doing TRT, but am concerned my BP getting higher upping the dose. I don't want to increase my meds that I am on now if I don't have to. I have an AI that I can use, just don't want to use it if I don't benefit from it. I need to clean up my diet a little, which I have been, but I still have a little more to clean up.
I've been on TRT for years now. I do like being on, but if I would come completely off, my BP would probably go back to normal without taking any meds. I really don't want to come off though. I was tested for low T years ago and being on TRT really changed my life as far as drive, motivation and energy.

Help me understand your logic. No issue with taking mtltiple AAS or Cialis but reluctant to take an AI and blood pressure med. High blood pressure can be very dangerous

Ask your doc for 5mg Cialis twice per day.
Get on an AI.
Also consider an Arginine protocol as well to help:

cut down salt intake, it's the salt that makes you retain more water...drink plenty of water to flush out the salt.
if your RBC/ haematocrit is high, it could be due to blood overload, venesection/ blood donation will improve your bp that way if that's the case.
may need to temporarily up your bp meds if not on max dose

I may not have explained this correctly. If I stay on my meds which I am fine with, my BP is ok. I'm fine where I am at with my bp meds that I am on now just using TRT dosage.
My thoughts are, since I am now cycling dbol /deca /test, I'm sure my bp is going to go up. Since this cycle is only going to last 14 weeks, I don't want my doctor to up my bp meds IF my bp goes up since it will only be up while on cycle. I'm trying to avoid additional meds since once I am done with this cycle, I'll go back to just TRT and my bp will come back down to pre cycle.
I may be worrying over nothing. My bp may not jump up. I can up my BP meds if needed, I just rather avoid that if possible. If I can do something like an AI or Cialis temporarily to keep my bp in check while I am on the cycle, that's what I would rather do. Right now I don't have any real sides with the BP meds that I am on, so I don't want my doctor to change what I am on. I'm taking the high end dose of Norvasc, if my bp goes up from their, they have to prescribe me a different med. I worry about the sides of a different bp med.Last edited by lzicc; 05-21-2014 at 06:01 AM.

I don't know what my bf is. I never had it checked. Now I noticed this. I cleaned up my diet a good bit about a month ago. Still not where I want it to be, but it is allot cleaner. I have noticed that my clothes, especially my pants are fitting looser. I've also lost some weight.
I started my cycle a week and half ago. I have noticed the past few days that I am getting some stomach bloat. I haven't weighed myself recently, but my stomach feels and looks bloated. I don't look bloated anywhere else, just my stomach.
I'm going to put together a better diet along with more cardio. I think cardio is going to help out allot. I workout at home and I am finishing up building my new gym. Once I get that finished, I can setup my treadmill and elliptical back up.
