Is there any way boiling test e can lower potency?

I was prescribed some test e as TRT, and it came in an ampoule, which I was only going to use a small bit of, which seemed like such a waste. So, on the advice of a trusted member here, I filtered it into a sterile ampoule, pressure cooked and added BA so I could use the rest of it.

I have had no problems with the shots, or any signs of any inflammation or problems, but the first dose, right out of the ampoule made me feel fantastic, which has not happened with any of the subsequent shots, even at higher doses.

What could I have done that would have ruined it? Or am I imagining it?

I don't cook, but I do know that when test crashes, you warm it in a water bath, not boil it. was it really boiling/bubbling?
Test is a fairly stable molecule, but..........

I pressure cooked it outside of the water in the pressure cooker. I don't know what happened to it in there, however, since I couldn't see it. :) I have no idea what the boiling point for test e in any given oil is.

No real need to filter it or boil/ pressure cook since it was already sterile and out into a sterile vial but it wont hurt.

You would have to heat it a lot to hurt it. Check out the other laboratory forum section

I'm not super crazy about the aseptic nature of drawing from an open amp in open air and then storing for a month (or more) while I use it up, so I figured better to be safe, and if I wasn't going to damage it, I thought there was no downside.

Thanks, I will try the lab section again, but the problem is that some of the terms one uses to search on this forum are just so incredibly common that it can take days to go thru the hits to find relevant stuff. :)

you might be better off, if there is a next time, with a vial instead of an amp?

Use the advanced search and search subject only. I do that a lot and it cuts down on returns 90%

It also already has BA in it so no real need to add more. Adding more will only delute it and unless you measure it out just right you wont know what your true ratio is. You also risk causing PIP. Using a syringe filter when putting it into a new sterile vial should be sufficient.

It didn't have BA in it, but I added it. Thanks for the advice about the search facility. In truth I have often found it hard to find things because you can't get very specific or only search particular forums, etc., but that is good advice. Thanks for mentioning it.

Roman, I would indeed prefer a vial, but I didn't realise how it was dispensed until I was back in England - I just got the 'scrip filled. I wasn't expecting an amp, so I was making do with what I had (and I was keen to try it and wasn't going to screw around with getting in touch with the endo and getting a new 'scrip from Belgium, etc). And now I have a bunch of them, so will want to use them up, but next time I will see if I can get a vial.

It's Test E, right? It already has BA in it. They make it pretty much the same way as you would if you got raw powder and made your own. The pharmacies add BA, BB and what ever oil they decide to use for a carrier. Most use cottonseed oil but some of us use grape-seed oil or epo.

Don't be shy about correcting me if I'm off base because you know I'm perfectly fine with bean schooled if I'm wrong

I'm in europe, and I can only imagine we have different products here. I checked the test e amp and all the literature (which is in french, but I speak french, and I checked it carefully). Isn't the amp meant for one use? I assume that's why there is no BA.

What do you think about my perceived change in potency? Is it possible I did something to mess this up? Or do you think I am imagining the subsequent doses not having the effect of the first? (I am always factoring in that I am biased and that my perceptions may not be real - the many years of scientific schooling made me sceptical!)

honestly I dont know of any test that makes you feel fantastic from the first shot..so I would say its in the head. counter placebo kinda effect if you will...

Just to be clear, it took a few days, but yeah, I am totally willing to believe that it's bias. :)

Well I guess that is possible. I though the test E in ams and vials were the same but I could be wrong. I have used ams only a couple of times and never looked at the ingredients.

Pressure cookers raise whatever you put inside them past the boiling point. A summary of gas laws dictates that if you hold volume steady (a pressure cooker) and increase either temperature or pressure, the other will increase significantly. If neither has a release, one will increase greatly, in this case pressure. Pressure cookers are hot, very hot. Heat is the most popular catalyst in any chemical reaction. (A product of our nearness to the sun and the very specific and narrow spectrum at which all {known, and therefore, earth} life inhabits). In all likelihood the active ingredient is destroyed...pasturized, or possibly denatured? I don't know because I am not a chemist but either way, it is kaput.

No. I've pressure cooked nearly everything I have ever made without any noticeable change in potency (based on effects and blood work). Sex hormones are very resistant to high temps. And 15psi only yields an extra 15 C over boiling temp at 1 atm. This is just enough to kill endospores, but not damage the hormone.

I guess that's maybe because there are oil based?

It is because they are derived from cholesterol, not flimsy strands of amino acids.
