Gyno question. One you probably haven't heard

Hey y'all. My question is different. I had surgery earlier this year. One of the end results of it was losing both my nipples and the stuff underneath/attached to them. One trainer said it was perhaps a good thing because I would probably not have to suffer Gyno in the future. From using gear. Thoughts? A little difficult to ask. But. What the hell. The insight will most likely be worth it.

You will need a vet, mod or knowledgeable member to help you with this one. Never feel like you cant ask questions.

    Losing the nips - ouch

If the glands are gone though there should be no place for new growth. This is from what I have read on the subject. No surgery myself yet

If the mammary gland is completely removed, there will be nothing left to grow. Was the gyno from steroid use, or obesity?

Most docs do not remove the gland completely. Depends on what your doc did.

Correct. Many masses can be resected without the need to remove any or all of the glandular tissue.

Somewhat off topic - but, why would the glands not be removed? If the glands are not removed and only the masses are from I figure, there is a possibility of the growth happening again.

    Cosmetic reasons.

Correct. Level of resection depends on severity of gyno and involvement of glandular tissue. If gyno is excess adipose, there is no clinical need to remove the glandular tissue. If gyno involves glandular tissue, larger resection is indicated and reconstruction necessary to avoid mishapen tissue of remaining pectoral volume.

completely removing the gland can cause what some doctors call a crater deformity. in good theory, under the nipple should be a layer of fat and then the muscle. when the mammary glands grow (as in gyno) the fat gets pushed to the sides or i don't know exactly what happens but the thing is if you remove the gland, the layer of fat under the nipple will be so narrow that it's gonna look like the nipple is directly attached to the muscle. i'm no doctor lol so just search the term "crater deformity". the purpose of leaving a small bit of gland is to make the pec look even.

there are surgeons that practice something called like fat flaps or similar techniques to work the fat surrounding the nipple to cover the hole left when the gland in completely removed.

i have a theory lol... if the glands are loose in ur chest and u dont have any nipples than won't the bad effects of gyno spread to other tissue causing worse problems than before?

The glands aren't going to just move around. The tissue has to be anchored to something in order to have a blood supply, or it dies.
Nipples aren't mammary gland anchors. lol

I had adolescent gyno and had surgery in my early 20's from it. My doc had to leave some in there to leave a natural contour of the pec. My nipples still puff a bit, however, drastically better than where it was before.

Thus, still think the gland is there, as I am on cycle now I pay heavy attention to what my nips are doing. They do feel maybe a touch bigger, but maybe its cause my chest is getting bigger??

Nonetheless, pending on the surgeon, gland may or may not be there.
