Want to do a second cycle need advice

5'9 220 bf-24%
First cycle was a year ago with so so results. Source was the local gym guru and I thought he new it all boy was I wrong. He didn't even suggest a pct. Did a 10 week cycle 1ml test 1ml tren every 3 days. We'll I've been doing a lot of reading and I don't think he new to much. I think it was a low dose and was the wrong combo. Thinking I should do test and deca at probably twice the amount for 10 to 13 weeks with a good pct. I'm here looking for some guidance so I can make the best decisions. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Look at it this way, time to do a proper first cycle.
First off your body fat is to high and should be about 15% before you start.
We don't measure in ml. So you will want to run test only 500 mg a week for 12 weeks along with an AI, HCG , and proper PCT.
be sure you have everything you need in hand before you start.

Am doing a lot of reading and continuing research trying to wade through the bogus info about gear seems like an endless battle looking to be guided in the right direction. As in everything in life it takes hard work dedication I get have done this in every aspect of my life. Just seems like every thread I go to leads me to a dead end. Don't want it just given to me just a push in the right direction.

Well, we are not a source board (I realize the ask wasn't there but it's starting to head in that direction). Finding the right product(s) takes time and as you learned already, the best advice is to take your time and not rush in to it.
The only thing worse than getting scammed over gear is getting contaminated gear - just ask a few of the members here hospitalized last year for serious infections. That's why we don't allow source discussions. There is a UGL brand discussion section. You may want to try your luck there. We will advise you on your cycle when and only when you've put it together correctly, but it's in your best interest to do as much reading as possible and make an INFORMED, PATIENT decision.
We don't want to see members injured and the best way to avoid that mistake is to read, read, and read again. It's a process, a journey, a marathon, not a race and when it comes to your health and quality of life, it behooves you to educate before you medicate.
We simply will not offer source information. You will have to do your home work on product selection.

You are grasping at straws. You already admitted the first cycle was a bit of a mess. I applaud you for trying to take more initiative here but its apparent that you aren't ready to cycle.
Educate before you medicate! Steroids will elevate your BP, promote hypertension, hyperlipidemia, hypercholesterolemia, prostate enlargement, immunosuppression, increase cardiac risk factors, and more. You can't be guessing at this. You are 44 and 24% body fat. You should know better than to be taking stabs in the dark.

cycling at 24% bf is fine as long as you expect and respect the amplified sides and adjust accordingly. The sides will be amplified and bloodwork is mandatory.
It took about 3 weeks for me to understand the 500 mg test first cycle did not work for me. It did not work because Adex is horrible to my body (did not like it at all). I lowered my test to a trt dose I was familiar with and added my other products on top of it.
With that said it took 5 blood tests over a month to get dialed in and understand my body and what was going on. This is the expect and respect part of the game. Now in Cadillac mode and rocking the gym daily with improvements seen each trip.
If you do not have the access or cash for bloodwork wait until you do. If this was cookie cutter everyone would do it.

Just read the my first cycle thread what a boat load of knowledge. God actually laughed out loud at several points. Really made me realize not ready for gear. Going to back to a sound diet and get bf down lower before I even think of ordering. Can you just go to a regular labcor for the blood work?

Yes I do and I have app tomorrow and will ask for blood. Last year when I did my first cycle didn't have any blood work done, no AI and no pct. I am kind of afraid I may have messed something up in my body. Had a lot of emotional issues when I ended the cycle and months after body went to hell and I haven't really been feeling right. I wrote it off because I went through a bitter divorce thought maybe just a little sluggish and depressed cause of that. After all the reading I think maybe cause poor cycle. Man that gym guru didn't know jack

It happens. Too many uninformed guys in the gym offering bad advice and never around to clean up the mess they cause.
Blood work will help identify potential problems. Best to get your BW done. You may be a candidate for TRT. Getting that addressed and your hormones normalized is the first road to better health before cycling and potentially making problems worse. For many men, TRT is a big step to feeling better. Members here are happy to review your blood work if you are comfortable with that (just remove any personal identifiers) and make suggestions for improving your health and fitness.
