I'm getting ready to take the plunge and brew my own but I have a question about supplies. When buying a mortar and pestle does it matter what it's made out of. When I searched on ebay there are many different kinds.
Also, this might be a stupid question but can't you just but the mixture in some kind of bag and shake it up for 10 minutes? Wouldn't this achieve the same result? I'm thinking a zip lock bag.
Now everyone go ahead and tell me how silly that question is.
