I have read the benefits of coffee as a stimulant however personally I find ON to have the best pre and post workout drink. Packed with Amino acids with give you the pump before and during the workout and help with recover afterwards......Plus the sh*t taste good! Each serving (2 scoops) has 160mg of caffeine and 5g of amino blends.

But I will indulge since it's here.. You need to try C4 by Cellucor. Beta Alanine tingles bro.. Unmatched. I drink C4 preworkout and Alpha Amino intraworkout. C4 was preworkout of the year last year and it is definitely deserving of that title. When they market "preworkout that you can feel" they mean that in the most literal sense of the word. I've tried probably 10+ preworkout a and I always come back to C4. Unmatched and uncontested.

I keep it simple, I eat an apple or two. A lot more energy than coffee or caffeine and a lot better for you. And they are cheap. I tried all the preworkout stuff and found some of them okay but nothing gets me going like an apple can.

I drink coffee sometimes before a workout. The caffeine is a stimulant so it will get you going. The downside is you drink coffee a lot there is less of a stimulating effect as your body gets used to it. Back years ago you would stack effedrine, aspirin and a cup of coffee as a rather effective metabolic stimulant to lose weight. But then big brother did away with effedrine because we have to be protected from ourselves.

I found that coffee did give a little kick from the caffeine, but I would crash rather quickly and I would have to piss a lot during my workouts. As far as fat burning, it might help a bit, but not enough to rely on as a fat burner. I use a pre workout with NO2, creatine and all the other stuff that comes in them. If you want to use only coffee, maybe grab some caffeine pills and add some extra kick without the diuretic effect of the coffee itself, the pills seem to have less diuretic effect on me.

my "preworkout" is literally a scoop of protein with some instant coffee from Kroger or Walmart. I do like C4, but I don't find spending the money is necessary, and just a little caffeine gives me the boost I need and helps me focus.
